I can confirm. This works! Takes a while and your ship may take a bit of dmg on the bottom depending on where you are stuck. We had our galleon beached tonight and this trick worked wonders...about 4k wood/thatch +metal/fiber later.... Raise anchor, fully open the sails, assign NPC to steering wheel...click E for auto-pilot (on the wheel) and then make sure you are facing whatever direction is the way out...then select "go the direction I'm facing."

I didn't know moving it backwards was a thing. Our galleon is currently beached and it would be FANTASTIC if we could move it backward...

is the FOY on a set rotation? is there a way to know where it will go next?

Update: I tried verifying game files. The first time, two were bad. Second time one. Third time none. Still couldn't log in. Tried verifying again, went back through the 2-1-0 scenario. Still nothing. This morning tried again, still couldn't log in BUT ...my husband saw a message pop up that I died (even though according to my screen I was getting timeout error). Tried AGAIN and I was able to log in, but I was dead with no body. So, maybe if you keep trying you'll die, too??

I am having the same issue right now. Have not found a fix for it yet. I was able to play just fine on Thursday, but Friday/this morning I have not been able to log in. Any help would be appreciated.

Just think...now all we have to do is find the cheapest material ever to build out of. Cover the entire island. Wait until the devs get drunk again. Break it all --> get rich! THEN we can continue our castle. Genius!!!!!

Does anyone know if it is possible (and if so, how...) to build beds on boats of allied companies?
