  1. I have the same problem, seems all builds by other players are "not real" - cannot grapple on buildings or ships, and cannot get off a ship, floating and hovering above ground, shadow boxed myself to exhaustion but it never increase my topor , just endlessly moaning.... very annoying and immersion breaking. If this is meant to prevent griefing behaviour - this can not be the final solution. I was on another players boat in pve who wanted to show me a build on the ship. This is ANNOYING!
  2. oh this was already possible in Ark - and I love it! This is a feature not a bug! don't you dare getting rid of this!
  3. can confirm as well, N9 Lawless there used to be trees...
  4. The fact that animals in some areas are overabundant is not very fun nor realistic (okay okay it's a game ), and it was not fun in Ark either. At the moment there are too many alpha-animals as well, chickens and horses who walk right into your pickaxe while farming. I don't think it's either care bear or hard core survival that I would wish from this game, just hoping for a better balance, that is all and my 2cents
  5. just also had this idea (posted somewhere else): Lets build floating structures on the oceans, by connecting rafts and add the ability to build on rafts. Also yesterday many of the costal rock formations are not "solid ground": when swimming to land you glide/slip UNDER the land structure, seeing textures from below, swimming in an underground ocean.
  6. I can only second this. Also it seems to me that even though this is a huge map, there is not enough space for this amount of players/claims, there is just a certain percentage of areas where especially beginners would be able to start a little base - someplace they do not die immediately due to environmental hazards (climate, animals). [IDEA] Hey, let us build floating cities on the oceans - how about that? I see lots of free unclaimed places on the sea.
  7. Ever since I landed on a desert zone island and set anchor with my raft near a boat dock I imediately got killed by this massive croc. After a few days checking out other areas trying to spawn on my bed on that raft, I keep getting insta-killed by a croc that obviously lives on my raft now. Yesterday I fell through a crack of the landscape (lots of falling through the world as well) and got stuck in a tight space together with three horses, four sheep, two pigs, a few chickens, who all wandered into this crack. I had to kill myself by hitting the animals with fists, a few fell unconcious, lol. That said - I come from many hours of ARK, and was looking forward to a pirate (survival) game, with animals and taming option - but the current state (v8.x) of Atlas is crazy, leads mostly to frustration (of course also due to the other unbalanced or outright bad game functions of claiming, vitamins (better now), temperature, ship of the damned, did I mention claiming?).
  8. About many of your points I feel very similar. Same frustration, and since the new patch (8.0) you can't even sale somewhat safely on rafts anymore. It seems more grindy and animal-survival than Ark, selling this as a pirate game makes no sense in my view.
  9. With this concept of having a few islands per server, this is a very costly system for private servers. If you reduce the amount to 3 or 4 servers this would be boring very soon. I think the map on official is already too small (too little landmass) for the amount of players. Overall I am very worried for the future of this game - as private servers wont be as available as it was for ARK.
