  1. For some, yes, for others no, and for some it's worse. You telling anyone having legitimate issues how great the game is running just makes you sound like a complete ass.
  2. Game ran great for me for three days, then a patch a couple days ago made it unplayable. Early access is early access but this has been a special kind of mess.
  3. Well crap. I guess it's just as well that the game started running so poorly for me yesterday that I can't play any longer. This is such a mess right now.
  4. Apparently there is a way to circumvent PIN codes in the Piracy skill tree. Don't know if it leaves them set to non-PIN after using it though. And yes, it is currently usable on the PvE server.
  5. Since yesterday I've been getting data spikes of 2Mbps from the game server every 3-5 seconds. This is causing the game to hitch horribly, making it unplayable. No issues like this at all for the first three days of play. I've tried adjusting everything I can think of or google about on my end. If anyone has any possible solutions I'd love to hear them.
  6. Don't know about PvE, but on PvP you just place a flag on it. Takes five hours usually, don't know if that differs if it's inside your claim radius. Or you can just sink it.
  7. Based on my experience with Conan Exiles that will probably create more issues than it solves, and doesn't feel like a particularly good system for this game to me anyway. I think that if you could, for a fee that increases exponentially based upon company size, "dock" your ship at a freeport overnight that many griefing/offline raiding issues could be solved. In conjunction though the game would have to base the fee on your maximum company size over the last 24 hours, to prevent people from mostly disbanding their company before paying the docking fee or doing some other workaround. The option to dock for more than 24 hours could also be an option, for people that won't be able to log in for several days in a row, but with the cost increasing at least marginally for each consecutive day of docking. Most large companies wouldn't be docking their ships often, if at all, anyways because they always have people online that are using their ships. And trying to build and just store ships there would get prohibitively expensive.
  8. Every storage container that I've seen has the option to create folders inside of it, which you can name. The icons for inventory management are near the bottom left of the inventory slot spaces, and colored white. This way you can tailor your storage to your personal preferences. It's not an auto sort, but personally I prefer it this way.
  9. Most people that are showing negative skill points didn't get an automatic respec after the patch that changed skill costs. That's why your skill points show the deficit, and leveling just reduces that deficit until you break even. You can respec but you won't be able to unlock as many skills as you have now because of the skill tree changes.
  10. Didn't change anything, still the same hitching. Game ran just fine for three days. Don't know if the patches last night had anything to do with it but now the game is pretty much unplayable for me. So I guess I'm done until that changes.
  11. The game has run really well for me for the last couple days given the current degree of optimization. Today though I have constant hitching about every three to five seconds. The hitching coincides with a data spike from the game servers. Goes from about 56kbps to 2mbps, game hitches for a second, then data stream drops back to normal. Anybody have any idea what's going on, and if so, if there is a way to fix it on my end? (Reposted from Bug Reports, as it already dropped off the first page.)
  12. It's not even just claimable land. The lawless islands have foundations spammed all over them and the coasts are covered in shipyards. So you can't build there either. Some of the tundra islands aren't very inhabited but you can only manage those once you get high enough level to have the Fortitude to deal with the cold long enough to accomplish anything. Then of course most of the tundra island don't have fibers. This game feels like it was designed by three different people with very different ideas of how it should play. And they never talked to each other.

  14. It's not just solo, even small bands can't do much. Even if they do, Chinese or streamer army will roll in and undo it in minutes. Hell, at least you somehow managed to make a claim. That's more than most players not in a big army are able to do right now.
  15. It's common in the colder climates, yes. Only been on a couple tundra islands so far that had fiber.
  16. Are you playing on the PvE server? Even getting close to an island that claims can be put on often results in a swarm of dudes with metal armor and weapons coming out to kill you and take your stuff. Even if that stuff consists of like 10 wood and fiber.
  17. I assume it's a thing because most of us have nothing we can actually accomplish. Not in an army, no land to claim, no place to build to try and keep resources safe, hordes of powerful creatures that are almost guaranteed death without the gear we can't build, etc. That leaves griefing while people wait for changes that might let them actually play. Hell, I'm not even a griefer and reading your post I thought, "hey, that's something to do at least while I wait for fixes..".
  18. At this point I'd be happy if I could rebind the relevant hotkeys. Combat system would be a lot more functional for me if I could just switch around the functions for Ctrl and Alt.
  19. Without access to Alphas, base, etc., just run around in your underwear and punch everything to death. Even if you don't kill it you get XP. If you die just rinse and repeat. It's tedious but it's a hell of a lot faster and less resource intensive than anything else I've found so far. You can even spec down the fist fighting/fist weapons tree temporarily if you want a little extra damage and less stamina usage when punching.
