The PTR, as they have already stated, is intended to be used for testing major builds/changes to the game, not little one-off structures.

A structure that can ruin your work of months and has such an enormous impact on one of the core aspects of the game isnt a little one-off item. Nothing you release in a quick and dirty edit. Then they should have kept it for the next "Mega" patch.

Have you interacted with them in any way, I mean like putting things in cupboards or putting wood in the resource chest or gold etc? If you have this may be enough to reset timer I don't know.

If someone is not actively playing and have left the daily chore of stocking it up with resources etc then it might be different, you may have to lift the anchor or interact with it in some way like I said above. Maybe @Jatheish can confirm once and for all to put this to bed?

With two of them i only used the bed to spawn there and then jump away again.

Really? I thought you had to lift the anchor before it resets? Well that is entirely possible then if you have to just spawn on the bed but I know it hasn't moved.

No, no idea where that comes from 😛 I still have the starter Sloop and it didn't move or raise the anchor since launch, just fast travelled to the bed every few days. Would be a pain if you would have to raise the anchor everytime...

I know ships have been increased on PvP to 4 weeks but is this the same for PvE? I ask because I have a galleon outside of my base, can't place shipyard there until it is gone.

The galleon has been there for 22 days now and has not moved. Their company expired 12 days ago yet it still remains there anchored. I though they were gone in 21 days? I assume ships have been increased to 4 weeks on PvE also.

Or he spawned there to reset the timer. You dont have to move it, just hop on.

Ye - the berrys are also a problem. If you have a vitamine-system, at least make it so you can actually gather all 4 vitamins on all the servers. It doesnt need to be easy gatherable. It is ok that a vitamine as example can only come from eggs. But they need to be available on the islands themself in a form.

The ingots are an absolute killer-argument if the missing ressource is something heavy. Just allone our harbour with all the towers needed so many ingots, it would not have been viable to have to sail two servers to get them.

To the airship-topic: the moment airships are reality I am out. The flyers allrdy ruined PvP in ARK so much they had to nerf them into oblivion. Flying in any form will completly ruin the game.

    They have Seagrapes...

As far as I was aware the bodies disappearing when logging of is only for Freeports, and that was introduced after the horrendous launch in December. I wasn't aware of it happening outside of Freeports. I could be wrong, but pretty sure bodies remain in the world.

For PvE it doesnt. The char does the sleep animation, yawns and the second it hits the ground it vanishes. If they would fix the bug that you cant spawn on ships after it moved this would be a valid concern. The logged out char also counts against the crew counter.

    @Dollie, @Jatheish

Waiting out players to collect their goods, exploring abandoned ruins, using the structures built by players that no longer play and sometimes finding loot that had been hidden in walls that were destructible is what has kept us playing Atlas over 1000 hours since December. I know this is to keep the servers clean but it is the feature that we as a company enjoyed the most. I beg, yes beg, the devs to revert back the auto destroy on structures. Please, could we instead every 4 months destroy all demolishables? The  uniqueness of what is left behind by former players is worth keeping at least for awhile as an enhancement to the world.

    Thank you,

Gomez, Mortica, Maxim, Uncle Fester, and Lurch Addams

It doesnt autodestruct instantly. Plenty of time to loot.

I don't mean to be rude or anything but how can you be so sure of this? Why would the tames auto decay rules work differently on land, than on ships...  I cant see a timer on my animals nor have I read any official clarifications on this. I am not prepared to take that risk so I have to touch all animals until I know for a fact they are all safe. Also, the problem still remains with the crew on the ships. It's very common that we get extra crew standing around on ships since we wanna transport them to another ship later on for example. Or have them standing around sweeping (repairing) is also convenient. But right now can't do any of that cause any idle crew gets stolen immediately. Before I knew about the whole ship change, around 20 crew got stolen.

After watching someone jump off with my Rhino right in front of me i tested it. Easy to check, temp remove someone from your company so he can see the timers, then test it. It probably is somehow related to the tries to protect ships on PvE in the first place, but im sure the devs will figure that one out. For now dont leave anything on the ship. Your crew can even be stolen while they sit on your sails.

They updated decay mechanics and this started.  I replaced about 15 ceiling tiles on my dock yesterday.  Replaced 4, came back an hour later and more were gone.  This went on all day.  Curious what will be missing today when I get home from work.

We had this problem for quite some time already, long before the auto decay, at least on PvE.
