  1. In theory, yes- but it takes more than just the atlas passcode. Without going into a whole guide, There are database/network related connections and such that need to be shared/established. You'd also have to be running the same unified map (That shows both or more grids).
  2. Not yet! Linux files for ARK took awhile too Did you run steamcmd.exe one time on its own to download the steamcmd files? Default when you add to steam 57561, but it connects to 5761 You may have NAT issues - You can try to use the fixes in this thread until I can edit the guide with them: Just follow the last 2 pages, some people at NAT Acceleration in their router, or doesn't support NAT Loopback- everyone's setup is different so it's not easy to troubleshoot every network setup blind.
  3. When you go to test, make sure there is no redis-server.exe running in windows TaskMgr details. If there is redis-server.exe, end task. launch server bat again (make sure redis-server.exe window is visible and accepting connections on 6379)
  4. While @cpjet64 may be able to handle this more in-depth; the simple answer is yes, it's very possible. You could open the ServerGrid.json that ServerGridEditor comes packed with- that is the 15x15 used by official. From there it would be a matter of removing all the content aside from the 16 tiles you're looking to keep, and then shifting the content of the 16 tiles you want into the top left corner of the 15x15 grid before collapsing the map size to 4x4 in project > edit. You could also do this directly via the JSON files theoretically...you would be modifying the header data of the 16 tiles you want to mimic those that are currently occupying the first 4x4 grid of the map (A1-D1xA4-D4), then purging all the un-necessary tile data. From there it would be a matter of making sure your spawn points and a few other things line up. I would definitely take a look at cpjet64's twitch channel @ https://twitch.tv/cpjet64 - he's got some solid content in his videos section covering a bunch of map stuff. There may be a more optimal way of doing what you want Note: a 4x4 would take quite a bit of resources- 64GB of RAM alone just for the game servers, + the Redis server ram usage and OS requirements on top of that. If you have the hardware/rigs to spare, it's doable!!
  5. I've seen Tiles used when talking about Multi-Grids
  6. Your database settings in map file may be missing. Can you open map file you use in Island Editor and post screenshot of Project > Edit? Thanks
  7. A video made by @cpjet64 that goes over this process visually: https://player.twitch.tv/?autoplay=false&video=v354355916
  8. I agree most are just having port/networking issues outside our instructions, but I can confirm setting "IP" as internal is OK for private use. I would change to Public IP same as you if I was to host public, but private IP is working for me. Also 1x1 grid map does not need to declare SeamlessIP as there are no seams to cross, only bang into
  9. If you are connecting remotely to the datacenter server, you probably won't need multihome- just compatible versions (7.0 on both ends). If you are connecting from within the datacenter- well I will keep my fingers crossed to hear from you
  10. @Khilandros We are currently limited to x amount of changes and you can only change for a few minutes after you create the post. Quite a bit =/ Can I message you, or perhaps figure out a way to give guide makers extended edit access? IPB has plenty of ways to accomplish this.
  11. Sloop Dawg Memorial Harbour is coming up as v6.2
  12. I'd love to edit the original post but currently don't have the power to do so. maybe @Khilandros could help? 7.0 server files are available- use your ATLAS STEAMCMD.bat to update to 7.0. After update, please post your launch batch file. gethostname() error is common, and can be ignored.
  13. Please attempt the additional fixes listed in the posts following the guide, including Multihome addition, Connecting through steam browser via WAN/Internet IP, and NAT Loopback workaround. Also, with the client patched to 7.0, and the server files currently limited to 6.2 (7.0 to come out when they feel its "stable" on official) you cannot see unofficial 6.2 servers with 7.0 client.
  14. They are saying we will get 7.0 server files...when they release to us I will get a link here for you
  15. http://atlasdump.carkgaming.com/AtlasPreppedServer.rar - v6.2 (Current version as of this post for unofficial) They will be releasing 7.0 soon, but not sure exactly how long
  16. A NAT Loopback workaround method for some newer routers and ISP modem/router combos that do not support NAT Loopback: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/workaround-if-you-cannot-join-your-own-dedi-server.4672/
  17. Oh you're right- I don't think/know if he updated the torrent...
  18. You can start with cpjet64's prepped server files maybe: http://atlasdump.carkgaming.com/AtlasPreppedServer.rar.torrent
  19. You only need to clear the contents of the "Export" folder of the Island Editor (as I believe there are some issues with overwriting). Then I would just open the ServerGrid.json from the rar and start from there I wouldn't change any of the default islands on the map until its running and you can join with them there.
