Ok, so I have a workaround to the libcurl issue, use at your own risk, See: https://launchpad.net/~xapienz/+archive/ubuntu/curl34 these commands in ubuntu 18.04 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xapienz/curl34 sudo apt-get update sudo apt install libcurl4 But now that is solved, I have a new problem (of course ) 4.5.1-0+UE4 7038 3077 408 10 [S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; SteamAPI_IsSteamRunning() failed. It's a bit like a bus, if your bus has 40 seats and 20 passengers the nsome seats will have to be empty. It's not really possible to cut the passengers in half just to use up all the seats. So, if you have more than enough cores that all the servers required threads are taken care of then some will have nothing to do.

Mine was working without those paths set, then it stopped working, now I have set those paths to point to my webserver and it is working again
