  1. This roll back was the first roll back on PVE server (not counting the 2-5mins ones). The reason behind it was when the patch dropped something was wrong with the "Removing inactive ships" part. What ended up happening was it was deleting active ships..  They do a server save before the restarts. Thats why on normal patches you are right where you were or close to it.  They Tried to load the save but it was not working. so they had to load the next most recent which was about 45mins/1 hour roll back on MOST servers. Saddly some servers were a big more.

But the alternative to the roll back was about 30% of all ships on the servers being deleted

THe server came up after the patch and ships ere gone.. as soon as they relaized there was a problem the made postes on Discord and Twitter.  IF you choose NOT to use one of these to see whats happening.  Thats on you

Stop with invicibility buff ideas, force them to finally fix the problem by restricting anything going close to the border insteed of giving them a bandaid crap solutions.

But then you can never have the SOTD follow you across the boarder then

  3. all ship BPs come from killing SOTD. From what i have found so far these are the stats

Speed Sail - Max Velocity(speed), and SAIL turning speed (not ship Turning)

Handling- Wind angle. (the higher the % the more extreem angels), Ship Acceleration (quicker to get to its top speed)

Weight- Max ship weight, one more but not home to see the information will update soon

If you simply look at a sail BP you will see the stats it gives you have have fine, journyman and mastercrafts of all the sails, The DO NOT get different bonuses than what i have listed just different %s

if your interested here are three sail videos that tell you whats different about each one.

    Weight -

    Handling-

    Speed-

  4. all things speed/drag/slowing are based on the total % of the ship. not the cargo.  there is no difference in caculating ship wieght if you have 0 cargo and full cargo.

if you have a ship tht has 10000 weight max. and you have 1000 weight (this counts the weight of the ship plus cargo) your at 10% every kg you add decreases speed as weight increases.

Theres a good video just came out explaining how the weight sails work,

  5. the 2 day thing apreas to be a bug. This came along with the fixed timers.

The new system allowing for 2weeks of protection is something @Jatheish said was coming soon. No date on that.

But can also confirm. that if you have a group of claims that are all touching each other that you can upkeep all of them only by entering one. Not sure if thats ment to be that way or not. But will help peopel that planned claims instead of just running and dropping 😛

Well you better pull those ladders up and fast. :classic_wink: It's sinkable because weight still registers when you are attached to the ladder, you don't have to be standing on top. They have have stopped you getting on other peoples ships but not the ladders. I really hope they fix it, it needs fixing ASAP, it spoils the game for genuine people.

this is patched now. NO more griefers sinking ships due to exploits anymore

2 weeks is way to much Jat, please dont change it to that long. Make it so people have to work for it. So why not do this. Buy an NPC if your going on holidays. Have gold and make Jerky to feed that NPC, in the cooking tree there will be stuff to craft that will make your food last 2 weeks if your going on holidays. This way a person has to at least put in some effort to keep land for 2 weeks if they don't log in. NPC can stay active as long as it has food and gold. This is fair and to me makes everyone happy. NPC will act as a player that way your land is safe while your on holidays.

This is already going to be added per Jats notes,

We're going to be making a change to PvE claims so that the inactivity timer starts at a base of 2 weeks instead of 3 days. Additionally, if you are a person/group with a larger amount of claims, the amount of inactivity timer you have will scale with that and have a lower limit of 3 days. So large companies with multiple flags have less amount of time where their base can be inactive versus those with just a few flags. We'll think on having a minimum before the number starts shrinking, or perhaps it'll just be 1 flag = 2 weeks. These numbers may not be exact and might change by the time we deploy, but that's the general idea. Hoping to get this out to you guys tomorrow. This may not be the perfect/most optimal solution, but we'll go ahead and make this change until we have thought more on our claim design for the overall game.

    TLDR:

    - Inactive claim timer will cap at 2 weeks, and bottom out at 3 days based on the number of claims you have

    - Sleeping players won't contest claims

    - NPC Crew can contest claims, but you'll have to feed and pay them otherwise they'll mutiny!

This might be a temporary change as we further evaluate how we want the claim system to work, especially with our new philosophy in mind.

exactly nothing in patch notes so the asshole that posted this needs to post sources ..

Please scroll back to page 2 of this thread.. and seet Jat tell you that this is a COMING feature

  9. Ok so if your popping in and droppign a flag and stealing this is from them being out of the game for weeks and they bodies being deleted.  But your not stealing land from somone that was active lastnight.

Yha the threeday protection system has been on and working for weeks now...

What your reading in the note from jat is a change in the sytem. Much liek the steal timer where the more flags you have the shorter the protection window.  This is a change to an existing system

The only thing i think its missing here its the company being able to see its own upkeep timer.  Do we need to guess what claim needs to be took care? We are a small company with 2 bases.

    @Jathal This is needed 100%
