Hmm, I'm using those names, and I'm still getting lots of island spawns for the AoD. Why I thought I may have been missing something. I would also replace the "HumanNPC.... line that has Cave in it to Inland also I assume. (which is what I did) Not sure what I really need to do to make the adjustments actually happen. Thanks

Atlas Support Discord gone
telco replied to telco's topic in Dedicated Server and Developer Tools Discussion
Okay, cool. Too bad it was deleted as there was a lot of good info on there. -
I noticed today that the Atlas Support Discord that was used to share info about setting up dedicated servers, sharing info, posted guides, and map editor discussions is now gone. Did the owner of that discord delete it? If so, any reason? That had the most info on Atlas server admin that I have found anywhere. thanks

server manager ATLAS Server Control v0.1.8.0b
telco replied to SparcMX's topic in Dedicated Server and Developer Tools Discussion
Sparc, that's good to know about the restarts. Restarting unresponsive/crashed grids is such a critical thing that I had assumed that the capability was there. Do you have an idea on when you might start supporting that? Once the new update comes out I suspect the server pop to go up quite a bit more, and keeping things up will provide a much better experience. thanks -

Think I'm missing something. Is there an option to automatically restart crashed/unresponsive grids? Had one crash and it is not restarting. -

Nice update. I like the layout for the local/remote servers. I was going to mention that in the previous version it was not reporting the number of players on for me, but now after the update it seems to be working correctly. See that SyncServer option is now 'available', but it says feature is incomplete. Does it actually work, or just 'kinda' work? Great job on this, glad to see that you are continuing to work on it. -
server manager ATLAS Server Control v0.1.8.0b

So would you consider supporting current game/gus file params as an 'import' nto the config manager? I have a lot customized in those files, to include the default gus/game files. (it's just easier to update most things in one place) Good copies of those config files could be pulled from a 'backup' directory on server start. Have a 4x4 now, but I'm currently expanding to 5x5. Runs on one server, but in two different VMs. (redis/territory map app/etc. runs in a third VM) It's a pretty good size server. Would the server control app be able to manage that, given how the functions are distributed? Was looking at the app control panel and wondering how it 'communicates' to the other servers to be able to control them. (like when grids are spread across different servers/VMs) It seems like the tool would need to run on each VM there are grids running, so not sure how you set it up to manage grids running on different servers. -

Aside from GUS and game ini mentioned above, what about replacing defaultgame.ini and defaultgus files when they get replaced in some updates? I think I will switch to using this manager, versus what I'm using now. Looks nice! Adding update, looks like I have to wait for next update also, have too many grids. -
it would be nice to get some info on what the actual temperature setting mean in the json, so we can adjust them to what we want them to be. Just being able to turn off extreme cold doesn't address the issue of the weather still fluctuating a lot.

Lighting after 10.x patch - unplayable
telco replied to telco's topic in Dedicated Server and Developer Tools Discussion
I seem to have resolved this, but not sure what actually did it. I validated/updated server files again and that updated my default config files it seems, so I set those back, but I think there was an invalid value for OceanDepthFadeExponent in the json for that region. Not sure why I saw it now after this update, but moved it to a value a saw in other map templates and the sun/ocean looks fine now. -
After the 10.x upgrade, the main spawn grid looks like this for the people in it. It seems to be related to lighting, and turning toward the sun makes it worse. The other grids are fine though, so I don't think it is the server having missing/corrupted files. Question is, why would the users in this particular grid start seeing this, and no one else? (in other grids) Video of bad lighting when turning toward sun

(as they have been happening at random times) they have been happening at random times. With the new update, we'll probably be making small adjustments to values, as some things have changed a little.

Disable or Reduce alpha spawns?

Tried this my server and these options don't seem to work. Hopefully someone comes up with a solution for this, some places we just can't go because there are so many Alphas. -

have any luck with this? would this work in default game.ini, or would need to be in each grid server game.ini?
