After 8 hours walk the cubs out bc they will get too big and fill the room over the full cycle. And the cold is not an issue at that point.

Lol got me picturing a room filled to the brim with bears all smooshed together...

Yea sorting through and culling 14 at once is a nightmare, i staggered the deliveries by 5 minutes in groups of about 4. Heard a funny story about a guy who bred so many at once he just placed the stud bear on elevators, breeding floor by floor LOL

Thanks for the tips. Maybe i didn't try enough grills as you did, after 7 grills i gave up and rebuilt following the method above. thanks for the tips tho

Wtf, that looks like a whole bunch of gibberish.

Are you trying to comment on Gomez Addams' post that in PVP there is no course for quick/any retribution?

Where in this thread has anybody proposed that pvp "solves griefing"? The OP says that they are unable to play PVE, due to griefing, and I explained that the PVE game is simply the PVP without the PVP, and no further thought has been put into it.

Do you know what PVP is? Player vs player. Some players grief, but that's ok, because you are a player too who is competing with this other player who just happens to grief. Maybe learn to play the game?

Of course it looks like gibberish to you, i used big words..

All I was saying is that if you act like a jerk in PVP there is a course for quick retribution and in PVE you have to live with it.

I enjoy both but currently play PVE.

If you have these types of "complaints" about PVE, you are the one that should do something and play PVP, because the PVE in this game is simply PVE without the PVP, so you are not actually playing the game. The pvp game has not been doing so well btw in case you didnt realise.

Please stop spamming and trolling eeecee. Kthxbuhbye

I had 20+ cubs in the tundra in the last 6 weeks using grills. Grills are more orderly looking for a long term setup.  I did have them stacked two high on both sides of the room. Heat was never an issue. If you had trouble it was most likely a placement issue.

In the warmest part of the day I would over-heat myself wearing fur if in the room too long. I thought the cubs would over-heat with my setup but it didn't happen.

So grills stacked 2 high lining both sides of a room fitting 20 cubs?... Guessing 30-60 grills..

I am NOT an expert breeder but i did about 5 runs. I put a 14 mothers on the second floor, 7 per side facing away from eachother. Plced thatch ceilings, walked my breeding stud down the middle, deed was quickly done (4 at a time), parked him off to the side and demoed the thatch ceilings. The babies dropped from the second floor down to the handrailed pen on the first floor. I pulled the cubs into clumps for easier management hoppeed the rail or used the doorway and lit/  extinguished campfires as necessary. It took ~16 campfires w sometimes half not running.

I tried the grills in a different time and place. 3 going side by side and the temperature increase was barely noticable. I do agree grills look way nicer and I would have preferred them.

    Good luck y'all

  5. Actually even in PvP the policing of griefers is intermittent at best.

The slobs just join larger companies, check their manners, then proceed to shit on every non company player they can get away with ...

    Or

1 large island owner will be forced reluctantly to intervene, then the action usually befalls settlers he likes least or is least afraid of. Or the island owner refuses to get involved entirely leaving it to the 2 parties to fight/ grief/ sort it out... assuming the griefer has enough common sense to avoid pissing off the island owner...which means the griefer may provoke you into a fight then wipe you.

So the proposal is absurd that pvp "solves" griefing. At best it keeps the griefing hierarchical.

    Really?

I guess fun is in the eye of the beholder.... People like to do things and have fun... Yeah fun.

It would make sense if you were the one to make barrel bombs a "thing", as you are quite clueless.

If fun is in the eye of the beholder,...

    then following yout logic..

What is "clueless" in the eye of... ...

    Derp

  7.      I'll start with a compliment, there seem to be WAY less inaccessable treasure dives than in the past. Out of ~100 dives this season I've only encountered 1 which was inaccessable. If you tweaked that, job well done.

Could you adjust the treasure dive loot tables please, get rid of the of the construction piece and add an occasional useful BP. I.E. Armor, Weapon, or Ship accessory. Generally the construction piece just gets pitched, scrapped and only saved for further use about ~1% of the time. I'm NOT saying it needs to be equal to dry land mapping but just tweaked. Please.

Also the Sotd loot tables need review. Not my area of expertise so maybe someone else could elaborate.

If you fellow players agree please add a like or thanks and bump the post

    Thanks

first of all we did this because you ran all over the island to stop a lightstone and you finally put it right in front of our base while we were stopping us stopping to make you look like a victim so that it is you who disturb the other players ...

Did you park a raft in his shipyard Mosica?

Just a heads up referees often see the retaliation not the initial foul. If he was stalking you around the island Mosica, THAT should have been reported. They may have even been able to spectate it. Now it's a pissing contest.

I suggest you guys work something out.

I am now exiting this conversation.

    Good luck y'all

  9. Yea it looks like your neighbor IS NOT just trying to make sure that theres space for you and him, it looks like flat out griefing. Try reporting it and being patient

Not that his behavior is justified, but you didn't build on like some important resource spawn did ya?

Also you could ask him/ them to stop. The response may help you win if he disputes your griefing ticket. Just ask politely, don't argue or engage

    Good luck

Lol I have been a carpenter for 30 years and still love going to work and getting something built. I have had many opportunities to be involved with programming as a job but I always thought that would take the fun away from playing. Ultima Online, very cool! I have been sailing ships on the seas since Ultima 4.

Oh, so NOW we know who built Thing's box?

ETA: Boats in UO were a friggin' nightmare to script.  I nearly got it working but I think due to lag I'd lose a piece of the boat here and there.

My coding skills never got beyond "Hello World"

I can still take ya waaay back though. I remember watching my neighbor type for 2 days just so we could play Pong back in the 80s 🤣

I'm certain that I've previously read that the warehouse is the one that needs to be placed within 30m from the shore. I've moved my warehouse, which is still connected to my FH, so that the market says it's connected at a distance of 19m. My market is legit at water's edge. There's no way the two won't work together now.

Well also the fact that the distance is listed in the radial indicates theres SOME type of limit... Good luck

  12. Theres a saying...

"Generally its best to under promise and over deliver"

I mean in the patch notes they did make it pretty clear that things will be rough going forward. Also they are slowly rolling this stuff out.

Taking it a step further, this may be the most complex game on the market. Take any mmo out there... any... Can you build 2500 feet high, build a submarine and go 1000 feet under water, build custom bases nearly anywhere you want, paint it, fill it with exotic animals and paint them also?

Then add the 100s of other interactions.. Custom design a ship, pvp, voice chat, grapple like spiderman, shoot cannons, set things on fire, build an economy, dig for water, climb a mountain, poop on command, raise crops.. the list could fill an entire thread-page... and this all being done in real time on a global scale.. many games have pieces of this, NONE have them all

It's actually pretty amazing they made it this far.

Thanks. Gives me reason to perhaps save up another 100g + mats and replace the market, by moving it just a touch closer to the warehouse.....or...move the warehouse a bit closer. I think that if the warehouse is not close enough to the shore, you should get a notification, or just can't place it down.

Its the market that i read had to be near shore technically. However the WH needs to be near the market,.. It was in patchnotes somewhere

    Good luck

    🙂

Actually i just skimmed the notes i don't see it anywhere. I dunno I'm sure i read that somewhere, can anyone corroborate?

I'd like to know what the maximum range a market can be from a warehouse is. Unless I've missed something, I haven't seen any notes telling us the maximum distance it can be from the warehouse. I've seem players say that it's gotta be no more than 10m away, yet mine says "Connected to warehouse. Distance 33m" ... So it is saying that it's connected, and even shows the amount of goods available...then 15mins later, it says it's not connected to the warehouse, only to say it is again 20mins later.....confusing.

I think patch notes said market and warehouse need to be within 30meters of eachother AND the market needs to be within 30 meters of the ocean.

I stated that mine are side by side yet the distance apart is registering 11 meters, so i suspect its measured from center to center, either way, i would advise placing them as close as possible to eachother.

The intermittent connect between the 2 may be a clipping issue, bug, maybe distance, maybe laggy server, maybe ocean is wavin/ out of range lol.. Dunno good luck though

  15. Some people have told me its working for them..

I play xbox maybe its an xbox issue or that the only commodity I'm trying to obtain is honey. Ill set more trades soon

Also theres theoretically like ~242+  (guessing avg 2 a grid) routes to click for a request, I've only tried 25ish. Lotta button mashin if i understand UI correctly

Last thing/ pointer, my Market says its 11meters from the warehouse, they're placed side by side. If it has to be within 30m per announcement I'd advise keeping them right next to eachother. I think it also said market needs to be within 30m of ocean
