Only an insane player can play Atlas in its current state. All ships, docks and bases are auto-lost to every random exploiter troll with a claim tower coming along. I am out as 90% of the other players. Atlas was on a good path, the player base really went up due to very good new additions like the armored docks which granted lone wolves and small groups minimum defence. But all this was destroyed by these ridiculous claim towers. They promised to buff solos and small groups but instead completely destroyed them with the last patch.

I'm a prolific builder and love building out towns, as well as elaborate ships. However, currently, there's no way to tell where you're at with regards to the structure limit. You just hit it and then boom your project can't be finished. I think the places that would be perfect to display this are: In the player inventory panel, show a count of how many structures are in vicinity of where the player is standing, and what the limit is (e.g. 7540 / 8250) In the ship inventory panel, show a count of what's on the ship already and what the ship's structure limit is (e.g. 512 / 614 for a galleon) An optional HUD display that you can turn on/off showing area or ship structure counts and limits

Exactly, I played from day 1 as well uninstalled it weeks ago. I was tempted to come back with claim changes see what it's like but now for me it is dead in the water. I have no desire to play it anymore, getting further away from what the game should be like. From what I read it looks like they are moving towards a full PvP game mode and PvE is finished reading between the lines it is not a positive move at all. I'm lucky to have had some fun from it since day 1 though, worth what I paid but I feel sorry for anyone just coming into the game right now.

I'm surprised that after taming there isn't a pop-up saying "Ok, that will be 1k gold as well".
