Wind direction moving like a clock?

I noticed as I was trying to get somewhere that the wind seems to slowly turn in a clockwise motion, will this become random, because this way one can't even bother travelling across the map on a raft to reach a good place to settle.

I don't think a raft was ment to travel across the hole map. I imagine the bigger ships with rudders can navigate better through bad winds

I think Hackjob has a point here, the raft was unlikely ment to be a method for full map travel, more to move to a close island to farm and build a bigger ship

Which is fine if there was land to claim or free to build a bigger ship.

i agree somewhat with you there. With some patience and a bed once could travel a further bit out and get some land. Most of the claimed land I'm seeing is the intermittent areas around freeports and lawless ports.
