Captain Jack Shadow 488 Posted February 9, 2019 If you built just a cargo ship, you should be going for speed. Keep buffing weight, and go with speed sails. By not loading it down with cannons, you should be able to outrun just about anything. Just don't think you can play Trading Company Tycoon, and load that ship down with tons of supplies. This is still PvP, and you need to be able to outrun the hunters. You should be able to is you are trading cargo for guns, but not overloading the ship in the process. Also less need for gold as you are only going to have sail handlers. So again, a chance to be lighter. No need for as much repair materials, since you are trying to avoid fights, not get in them. PvE? Put the Resource box on the top deck near the rail, so if you do get in trouble, you can chuck enough weight to get your speed back, and do so quickly.
