Server not showing up in list

Recommended Posts

Hiho ^^

I've now created my own server for Atlas, but I can't find it in the unofficial Server list.

I assume that "SteamSocketsOpenSource: gethostname failed ()" is causing this issue, but I don't know how to fix this. Maybe someone here had the same problem and knows how to fix it 🙂

"SteamSocketsOpenSource: gethostname failed ()"

That is normal. No need to do anything. The server is actually loaded and working. Try connecting through your steam server browser and see if it works.

Go to your steam and go to view => server list and add a favorite. Your IP is 46.81.61.92:57561
It should add your server to the list. Steam can only list 5000 on the ingame browser.
Let us know how it works.

Also as a sidenote: Next time in pasting the ServerAdminPassword , make sure they are ********* because now we can see it and people can use it if your server is not password protected.

EDIT:
Check your ports, QueryPort, Gameport and SeamlessDataPort need to be forwarded correctly. Also give your .exe server file access to the firewall.

Thanks for the fast reply, I will try this out.

The password is no big deal, because it is just a TestServer and a TestPW I always use for such things, but thanks anyway 😄

I've already forwarded the following ports (TCP & UDP):

SeamlessPort 27000 - 27008

QueryPort 57561 - 57594

GamePort 5761 - 5794

ReconPort 28000 - 28008

The Firewall is deactivated for the test, so should not cause any problems.

Tested now to add the IP to Steam Server, but it still doesn't show up in the list.

If your PC is setup right check your router? I know I am typing the obvious but some routers do need a restart when configuration the ports.

ReconPort 28000 - 28008? Mean RCON?

I am not talking about rcon. Just see if you can see the server in the steam server list when adding it to your favorites.
I did not do the ReconPort forward and all works well.

I know what you meant. I've added it to the Steam Server Favorites, but unfortunately that doesn't helped. Also a Router Restart does not change a thing.

I've found the ports I've mentioned above in some other post, that's why I've forwarded them like that.

What does your Start.bat look like?
