PLEASE GET RID OF THE RANDOM FOUNDATIONS!

Recommended Posts

players are trying to monopolize land and sea by placing single foundations randomly to keep us from building. Please make foundations that do not have doors, windows, beds or chests with a VERY fast decay????? Destroyable within 13 hours if not attended or attached to a certain amount of other buildings?

Foundation spam was a big problem in Conan Exilees. I can't recall how they fixed it, if at all.

It can be easily fixed by letting people and companies only build into claimed land (flag) and severely reduce the amount of flags a player/company can place.
Player can place 2 flags (one for a base, one for a dock/shipyard) These flags get removed when a player joins an company. This will battle that players can leave a company to place flags for the the company and then join again
Also the company can place 3-4 flags max.

If this will solve all problems, probably not but it will make it much better. Offcourse land hoarding companies will dissagree which should say enough.

Caudill they "fixed" it by making it so that single foundations can be demolished. This only led to foundation chains all over the place instead which looked probably more dumb.

Assuming you are talking about the islands that can’t be claimed a good solution would be, once you place a foundation  you can only have a reasonable amount of space to build, similar to a land claim but mabe smaller and that’s it you can NOT build anywhere else on that island. You can however build something on a diffrent island if you'd like but the same rules apply. also only 1 shipyard per “server area” whatever there called so for instance if I wanted to build a shipyard in g5 I can’t build any other shipyard on g5. And big gates should only be allowed on land claims There is no reason to have big gates on unclaimable islands in the first place. One last thing REGON LOCK CHINA!

only one solution to this problem. what you suggest wont work. people will just spam 1 foundation huts all over the damn place. In ark they spam 1 foundation+1ladder attached.

The only way to fix this is to get rid of perimeter blocks. so people can just build right next to enemy buildings....you know..like in real life.

Other Players are why we can't have nice things.  More suggestions please, this really does need to be addressed somehow.

I somehow feel that Lawless Islands should Pvp enambled on even PvE servers with destruction on. You want to farm there it is at your own risk. Solved. This as well will make mr solo who has claimed an entire island want to have buddies if he needs something off a lawless island 😛

Then someone could build a whole box around your base with giant gates and lock you out

i would suggest a structure limit, so companies would only be able to place 100 (or some other number) foundations in a lawless zone. it wouldn't even have to be a hard limit, could make it so everything over the limit can be demolished by anybody. It would limit the size of buildings (at least in the horizontal sense) and prevent foundation/pillar spamming
