Blackwood has no ships of the damned, no fish, no rocks or seaweed... nothing. I understand that the game isn't completely finished yet, but why is this a thing? I was about to put cannons on my ship and stopped... what for? Where is the challenge, or reason to explore the ocean? You just go to slightly different islands to do the same things over and over again... Why? There's no sea combat on Blackwood... in a game where you're a pirate??? The wiki also shows a reasonable list of resources from the ocean map which don't exist on Blackwood, meaning recipes and other craft items cannot be made, despite being available to build. It. Doesn't. Make. Sense. Can we have some notification of whether these things are going to be fixed, or if the map will simply be devoid of these vital things? It ruins the experience, and makes it an exploration and zoology game, instead of pirating. If this is the how it's going to be, how do I get a refund? This is on XBOX by the way. My laptop (which can easily run the game) doesn't load any servers, it's just crashes midway through. Loads single player and runs at nearly max graphics absolutely fine, but crashes loading any server with players on...

Not only are Ships of the Damned going invisible, and the ships steering being lost, but undamaged walls and foundations are going invisible. We had an interior wall disappear inexplicably. And right now a foundation has gone invisible. It must still be there because the walls attached to it still exist, but the foundation itself has done a Klingon cloaking stunt. Altogether, the above bugs are gamebreaking. This is serious stuff guys - waaay more important than claim flag dynamics, and far more fundamental.

With the drop of the latest patch, v. 23+, we are encountering invisible SotD. Sometimes you can see the cannons floating above the water. Sometimes not. We also lose ship controls randomly, but often with the opening of personal inventory or the map. You cannot steer the ship and you cannot control the direction of the sails, although you can still raise or lower them. In other words, steering is impossible. All that is left is "stop" by lowering the sails and "go" by raising them.

Since the last major patch, SotD have become more of a menace than ever! They spawn in batches like the ones that surrounded us last night. You see 8 ships surrounding us, with the hellish glow of a ninth at the far right. What you don't see are the other 6 ships which were arrayed around the front of us. There was NO reason for this; it was NOT a Golden Age Ruin which was nightmare enough when first unleashed. THIS is WORSE by far. And it is NOT an isolated incident. We're getting this with every border crossing and even travelling within our own tile. Has anyone else noticed the proliferation of SotD spawns, or are we just a SotD magnet?

The Ships of the Damned need some major fine tuning still. As of the latest patch (8.56) they are still a huge issue. Too fast. No matter how much wind is in your sails, they are faster, riding right on your stern or even coming up broadside from behind. Unlike player ships, they don't seem to rely on wind, which factors into the speed issue. This makes them impossible to outrun. Their cannons are oddly accurate. If your ship is in range, their shots will hit every time. There are still FAR too many spawning in each grid at any given time. Numerous reports have been made about encountering upwards of three or four at a time, all within agro range. Spawn distance is still too close to player ships. They are still spawning within agro range. Travel between servers is nearly impossible right now. As every island doesn't contain every resource(understandably), travel around the map to obtain these resources is REQUIRED, and right now that's just not plausible. Sinking is almost guaranteed, causing loss of hours of resource gathering and construction of ship after ship, which is not the goal of the game. Ships sinking happens, which is expected, but that's all we can do at this point. Farm, build, and sink.
