  1. If you want to play on Official PvP and be solo or 2-3 man groups, you go into it knowing it will be hella hard and that the world can wipe you out without even noticing.

The game is still very fun.

And of course, there are unofficial servers that are really excellent and offer a great way to enjoy the game solo or small group.

Or you can of course go PvE.

But saying they need to add systems so solo's are safe from groups? umm, no

(and Im a solo player on pvp).

I really don't remember them saying that, maybe you could share a link or something. And i actually don't mind "difficult". But right now if a small company loose their land to a mega tribe they only have two options: merge, quit, or happily live on some lawless island sailing on rafts and loosing their stuff every night.

I was in a big company and it was super boring. Now i'm in a smaller one and can finally have fun in this game, but knowing how easily the fun can end while we're not even online (because somehow many of these companies are ran by cowards who can't even zerg rush anyone when there's any actual resistance) makes me really worried.

It honestly sounds like you need to be on a PvE server, seriously.  There is a lot of fun to be had on PvE and you dont have to worry about large company zergs.

(Once they fix the exploit of sinking ships by weight on PvE of course)

  2. Umm, maybe for PvE, but in PvP, thats the point if you want to run a trading company.

You either only deal with those you trust or you bring armed guards to ensure the other side stays honest, or you dont trade.

I like that for PvP at least the trading system is real trading, not some artificially ensured mechanic.

Plus if there were NPC traders that kept things "safe" they would just be used as unraidable banks.

  3. Their costs fluxuate based on the job they are doing (cannoneers use more than sail tenders), the ships accomodation level,  and the captaineering skills, so if he is offline, it will go up to what your skills, if any, support.

The base rate seems to be 1g ever 2 hours for a npc standing on deck doing repairs to ship at anchor.

  4. Melee is obviously unfinished, we have Sword, Pike, Mace, and brass knuckles and thats it.  Thats not melee.

Doesnt mean guns need to be uber strong though.

They should be significant damage to a kill though, but with a very long reload time

In the period they were fired once, then swordwork commenced.

Side note: Most of the folks bitching about melee havent taken sword and board assist skills, nor have they tried the medic tree.  They just know it sucks without specializing any.

That being said, bows are the way to go right now

  5. Reload speed is 100% good.  Has nothing to do with reload speed.

Has all to do with damage.  A flintlock on a level 10 pig should be 1 shot kill.

They nerfed the damage way too much.

But thats why it was 1 shot, and then swap to the sword on your side

Noone does that, they do 1 shot, then run around bitching about how long its taking to reload.

already done , also others have reported that guild and nobody does nothing, they are still there online feel free to visit them with a cheap ship at A12 they will welcome you by flying naked and shooting cannons from their chest.

You realize your report isnt the #1 priority, that they go through them in order and prioritize things and respond.

Plus of course every report of cheating or hacking must be investigated because you full well know there are folks out there that would use the system to try to get enemies banned, so they cant just go off of your word and evidence, they have to investigate and validate it.

  7. SS is Sailing Ship or Steam Ship (I am a 20yr Navy Veteran)

So you cannot get upset by SS.

But you can get upset by the name of the ship, since that was a concentration camp

But most of all, if you feel they are violating the rules of the game, which does prohibit such things, then FILE A REPORT with the links, no need to come here posting.

um there are consequences to dying but perhaps just not how extreme you personally want it

i suggest running your own private server and making it perma death, there might even be some out there already

There are zero consequences to dying if you have a bed nearby. It is 9 times out of 10 always beneficial to die to recover food, vitamins, health, etc.

No, there is twitter and there is also the devs direct email. Their direct email is where most of the ark players at least send there reports in.

The main reason for that being is if there is a special exploit that they don’t want people to see they will disclose it only to the devs. Same thing with the n word. People don’t want to see it so it should be sent directly to them

btw that would be the best way to get their attention anyways, even if the devs come on here, which they don’t, they get their feedback from twitter because they get directly notified.

Please don’t tell me you think they have the time to come on here and go through threads. If that is the case no wonder nothing is getting done with the game.

either way they aren’t doing a good job at either

The devs have listed no official path for reporting things, other than there is a bugs forum here.

So twitter is nice, and direct email, if you know it, is nice, but its not the official "how to report someone violating TOS" path.

And they still need to respond and do things about it, no matter where it is reported
