  1. You can have personal ownership of buildings, tames, containers for items - Everything works, except for Ships. Ships, for some reason, are always set as company owned.
  2. Yeah, why do the devs think SotD is good content? They should be extremely rare, to the extent that the old hurricanes used to be. Travel in this game should be fun and mostly easy, with threats, but not frequent ones.
  3. Lol that's BS. Before x2.5 I couldn't even have the cannons or cannonballs to fight a ship from an established clan. Now I've got a kitted brigantine. Maybe they can replace their shit easily, but at least now we can fight them. I can now also enjoy PvE content meaningfully. My ratio of grind to action is still like 10:1, but that's better than 25:1. You're also the biggest fanboi and lifeless nut on this forum. You've clearly got a lot more time than the average player to dick around.
  4. I, too, have discovered the ridiculous retarded AI crew mates. They should pay me to be their care-taker.
  5. It's the only thing that makes us able to actually sail and fight these ridiculous NPCs, instead of hunting nodes all day.
  6. What also sucks is that they don't render in until you are almost on top of them, and their loot is way worse than the expense of the cannonballs to sink them.
  7. These are tremendously expensive. 100 cannonballs is 1000 metal, 1,200 gunpowder (600 charcoal and 1,200 flint), and 100 flint. If it weren't for the metal cost, the expense of a cannonball would be reasonable. Even those of us that have multiple metal nodes spawning right outside our door have difficulty gathering that much metal, as it's used in so many necessary recipes.
  8. For those of us that CAN fight them, how do the devs expect us to do so economically? Cannonballs are like 10 metal per cannonball, plus 12 gunpowder (and a flint). That's a ridiculous expense for a single cannonball when most islands only have like 2 metal nodes that drop ~85 metal each, on long respawn timers.
  9. Lol devs. U even test your game?
  10. Whenever I use push-to-activate for in game voice, my voice activate seems to eternally become synced with either my discord voice, stuck on, or it never deactivates. The upper right hand corner shows the microphone UI element forever, and whenever I speak with my clan mates on discord it will always broadcast what I am saying over local voice comms as well.
  11. ^ Evidence that this is a bug, not a feature
  12. You are correct in how the bug works, it's your final conclusion that is a baseless non-sequitur. Just because you can clearly spawn in deep water, but not in shallow water, does not follow that the shallow water indicator marks a 'lawless territory' (there is no evidence to support this, and general map design and the fact that there is noted geographical difference between those locations is opposed to your conclusion). Further, there is no evidence to support that this is an intended feature rather than a bug.
  13. I have had one of my sloops literally in contact with an island and been able to spawn. On other locations, beds do not function if you are even remotely close to the island. The distinction is the type of shallow water beneath the boat, not the proximity to the island. That is the "line" you are referring to. You simply believe that your map is showing you a "lawless zone," when in fact it is showing you a type of terrain. All servers are lawless zones, everywhere, except the freeports, on PvP shards. You can believe what you want, sir.
  14. You seem to misunderstand - This line represents geography, not a lawless zone.
  15. Not spawning on beds in lawless places is intended, as you are required to have a claim to spawn. However, the interaction is different - If you build a bed in a lawless place it merely does not give you the option to spawn. Boats bugged as per this thread allow you to spawn, you get a "white screen" as if you are going to spawn: i.e. the game clearly attempts to spawn, but you simply do not appear. I think that is the simpler conclusion than the idea that this is an intended feature without evidence. Especially because it renders boats unoperational or inaccessible, and the distinction between shallow water and deep water off a shore (which only exists on some islands) seems nonsensical.
  16. This seems like a bug relating to spawning above shallow waters, rather than an intended feature.
  17. I've got the same issue, bed spawning has stopped working on both sloops and rafts.
