  1. I have played qutie a few but not lately. Those games are also setup very differently than Atlas. And there are no other games that have this type of game mechanic that is why it had alot of hype.
  2. Its not a problem because it only last 4 hours. By making it longer like the OP is wanting 16 hrs etc makes it less of a hassle and more exploitable. You have to pay to keep those goods there and the auction only last for so many hours then you must put them back on. I am not sure how they are going to implement this yet so will have to wait and see. Like most things the devs have said they leave out all he important details,
  3. You mention other games. Only other games that have ORP that i know of is Ark and rust which i havent played in a while. You mention EVE as well which I havent played. But Ark servers that have ORP are exploited all the time. Run 2 accounts like i said and have the base built by 1 account and pin code everything then on the 2nd just use that one to use the base and everything in it while 1st is logged off thats 24/7 protection from being raided thats 1 example right there how its extremely broken.
  4. Still a little cost to keep your stuff safe raid free is little to no hassle when it comes down to it. The shop i am assuming is gonna be like a auction house. Which means you will have to ship your stuff to the freeport area. So only time your good will be safe is once you join the freeport server. If you take them out of that server you can lose them that goes for whoever buys them as well.
  5. So instead you would rather have a mechanic in game that can be easily exploited which alot of people have been crying about with other things? I would suggest instead just adding a structure buff while people are offline so items take less explosive damage and cost to raid a offlined base increase dramatically.
  6. So just repairing the ships every say 16 hrs is still broken when they cant be damaged at all or raided. That would be the same as adding in ORP but for when you are online as well.
  7. There could be consequences added in that would work. A debuff like you mention with stats/ skills. But just adding in a ORP i do not agree with after playing ark on servers that have ORP it really isnt a better option.
  8. I wouldnt have to repair them if i just left them in the freeport area. All i would have to do is move them out of the server real quick and then move them back and they are safe again .
  9. Yes there was consequences. Why not implement that into Atlas instead of a total ORP where things cant be damaged?
  10. I wouldnt have to kill ur NPCs to get into the base. I have already done this in Atlas while the company was online, and they had no idea till it was to late and i had already looted half of their stuff. I am not saying offline base raiding is PVP. All i am saying is i do not want any aspect where if a company is offline you cant damage their structures. But if they go offline and you add a resistance so they take less damage that would be fine.
  11. The devs want the Massive Multiplayer like Eve but clearly made the game from Ark. I could say the same if u want the game like EVE go play that.
  12. I can tell you already what i would do by adding that in. I would make a fleet of schooners etc in lawless area sail them to just the other side in freeport and leave them there. I would then go build a sloop or a schooner as my transport ship and just make runs living off the ships in freeport that cant be touched i would say thats a broken mechanic.

  14. Ark has been successful. What about Ultima online ? Rust was pretty fun aswell successful you could argue either way i would say. What about Conan Exiles ive only tried that a lttle bit but that was full loot pvp 24/7. Why does everyone compares Atlas to Eve when they are very different games.
  15. That would be the like adding a PVE area in the middle of PVP. It would be abused like other mechanics people are asking for. All you would have to do to keep all your valuables safe would be spawn onto ship in freeport cross the server line and cross back and u have a Safe place to keep all of your items for another 16 hrs or for however long u ended up making the timer for. Eventually the freeports would be just congested with tons of ships with everyones loot on it with no fear of losing it.
  16. So EVE which i have never played. Life is feudal i thought was dead ? Eve is a totally different game but I believe i read somewhere you could still raid or blow up a base while ppl were offline it just took longer is that true? Either way adding ORP will be extremely abused. Just make a 2nd account pin code all the doors and storage chest. Let 1st account use base that cant be raided or broken into in any way. GG Now making it so while companies are offline harder to raid by having the structures of their base / ships more resistant to damage or explosives i wouldnt mind. But a mechanic that allows no damage at all is extremely broken.
  17. People are leaving this game for many other reasons than not having ORP. to name a few the Hackers, ppl using exploits, the crazy bugs , lag, rollbacks, the list goes on. What other hardcore PVP games have ORP ??
  18. So instead you demand that the game change to add a ORP in a pvp server because its what you want ? What about the people that dont want ORP ?
  19. Go try unofficial seems to be working just fine with them. I would even suggest the A1 6x6 server for you lot that want the pvpve aspect. How would you know your base is taking damage if you are out on your ship or on another island farming resources. I love how you assume because i do not want ORP that i cant or haven't PVPed and that I am not good at it lol.
  20. Well how does that work ? Even if the company is online doesnt mean they will be at their base when its being raided. And just because a company is offline does not mean there will be no PVP. People who refused ORP do not want anything to water down the PVP mechanic or it to be abused / exploited like it will be. It is in ark and will be here. You cant have a feature like that and not have it abused in this style of game. And I do not support ORP and i am very good at PVP lol ur logic there is wrong.
  21. Im not the only one that likes it the way it is. there is a mass of people that want it to stay how it is. I am just one of the few that are vocal about it. If they add ORP I bet things get worse. You will start to see large companies start to annihilate anyone that is online targeting smaller companies. People will then complain that they are going to be zerged down. Where does it stop you add ORP then what shrink the limit of ppl in companies ? People that want ORP will leave either way once being raided online or off just like they did in Ark.
  22. You do not have to play that way. like you said there are private servers you can play on that have rules and ORP.
  23. So because I do not agree with your solution or ideas I am a troll now. Name calling,,,you are the one calling me a troll because i disagree with you lol. How is not wanting any restrictions to the official PVP server being a troll? All I want is for all you people that want ORP and demanding it to go play unofficial server where they have it already and to stop trying to get things changed just because it doesnt benefit you.
  24. You guys are not making suggestions you are demanding that the core gameplay mechanic in PVP be changed. This is a PVP game if you cant handle it leave. There are servers out there for you already why do you need this one to change ??
