If you are playing on a PvE server it is intended. About a month ago they did a patch to remove the vegetation in lawless like it does on the claim islands. Because of all the foundation spam in lawless there were no resources any longer. So, they ended up doing another patch to let the vegetation grow even in buildings because there is no way for the game to tell if it is a floor placed for a building or a floor placed to keep other players from using the space.

The only way I have been able to kill them is with grenades, carbine and pistols. I don't know about tames because the patch to fix the NPCs on ships not responding killed all of my tames.

I can confirm this bug. I have tried Bow, Pike, Sword and none of them have done any damage on two different maps in two different servers (K9 & K6)

Thanks for the fix I can now access what is left of my NPCs. Unfortunately, you killed all my tames, half my NPCs and made my last ship irreparable. Now it also seems that the things I built on "rented" land is decaying worse than the buildings in lawless. I can take a hint......

Since last nights patch the game has just become a disaster for me. I cannot access any of the NPCs on the ship, I tried to put my bear on my ship and it shot up into the sky and I got a message that it had been killed. But, the worse by far is that I had a Brig parked in A8 gathering resources to do repairs. When the repairs were complete I raised the anchor and the Brig shot into the air and I received messages that the planks had been destroyed and the ship was sunk. This can be verified by Scales and Sails because I was parked by their base and many of their players watched it happen. In all honesty I am afraid to log in and play any more due to losing so much stuff every time I try to play.....

Yes, I have watched them over the weekend follow players into islands and then start reeking havoc on whatever they run into. If someone doesn't sink them they end up stuck on stuff they run into trying to do their pattern.

TYVM!!!! I am a solo player and I was stuck not being able to respec or do what I needed to do without the perks. I was afraid I was going to have to start all over with a new toon and lose 450 hours of progress.

How many discoveries do you need to unlock level 55?

Welp, from reading Reddit this is wide spread. One of my company mates hit the create new Atlas and lost everything. Soooooo, I won't be playing the game any more until the issue is addressed.

I just logged into Atlas and the UI doesn't work. I can't open inventory, open a door, change anything on my tool belt, etc. I logged out, verified my files and tried to log back in. But, now there is no option to continue my game. Only start a new Atlas. What do I need to do????

Linux Blue I have tried that approach because there are some large spots of unclaimed land on a lot of the islands. The problem is that none of them are large enough to get the claim to go through. I have tried talking to the adjacent land owners, but, I all I get is snoring.... I don't want to take their claims. I am just trying to find a little spot to make a shipyard and learn how to play the game.... I am currently on a piece of claimed land with an 18% tax. I don't mind the tax. But, I can't build a shipyard because all of the water area near the shore is unclaimed land and the game won't let you build there.

I have tried doing the lawless base. The problem is that every time the timer runs out on something you have built others will destroy it so they can move in to. The whole land thing is a mess.

No you can't leave. There is an area you have to stay in. From what I have experienced it is the size of the claim. If you die you start all over. Nothing you can do about the people walking through. It pauses the claim, but, doesn't restart it. All of this is as of patch 11. I am still trying myself.
