  1. act like a child, get treated like a child. as i said they need to grow up. how you take my post is up to you. as the last poster said, twitter is their chosen form of communication, if the OP doesnt like it, what is the point in complaining. We have clearly seen complaining to the devs does nothing
  2. You need to get a horse, they are great for exploring decent stamina, good speed and a pretty good weight on the higher levels.
  3. Just lol, using the excuse of "i don't use twitter" is just pointless. that is the communication method that the devs use. If you want the info quickly Stop being spoilt children and start reading their chosen method of communication. Its like saying "I don't use the internet! why hasn't someone hand delivered a news paper through my front door with the information i require on a situation that happened 30 seconds ago!!" Grow up and stop being annoying. the forum is for patch notes, player interaction, market place transactions/adverts as well as news and update info. expecting it to be the sole destination for your personal news update is just dumb.
  4. lol Jihadi pirating, that would be a site to behold. 20 pirates board a ship, 1 cannon shot blows them to pieces along with the ship. kinda sounds like fun
  5. really straight forward. Removed the weight reduction. increase base weight to x4 current weight. whilst they are messing with elephants they should really sort out the stamina. real life elephants walk miles to find water. My elephant has a light jog for 17 feet and needs a 5 minute stamina break. would love for them to either double the stamina or double the recharge rate.
  6. inventory management is fairly easy, Just make a ship resource boxes and put it in your base, now you have all the items stacking and all in 1 spot. now go exploring, return home with a boat load of new resources, throw it all in your resource chest and you're golden i had a stack of 250,000 + fibre on an unofficial server. Resource boxes are your key to success and there is no more need for a huge warehouse of large boxes.
  7. He mentioned normal animals and wearing cloth. Plate > Cloth no matter whats hitting you. Melee is a joke. Knock back is indeed a complete ball ache and seems immensely stupid to have the knock back every single hit. I just made the assumption that if they dont like animals in this game maybe Crew might be the solution, so I just tried putting plate armour on 2 crew men and armoured them with Swords and shields. we found a wolf and they couldn't land a hit because of the knock back. There is one very straight forward solution to this whole issue. Make Alpha's Tamable - Fight fire with fire. then have the tamed alphas not damage players/player owned structure or tamed animals so they don't destroy PVP. quick easy fix until something else can be done My local tesco just hired 2 alpha crocs! cant seem to park my ship anywhere now
  8. Reilant, You need to get plate armour. Cloth is junky
  9. I have over 3500 hours in Ark, as you have said this isn't ark, but if it was you would be able to breed animals to be able to take the alphas on, currently with tier 3 animals not able to be bred and the other animals needing extremely specific temperatures to actually get them to breed, its nigh on impossible to do for most people. (I like many others built my base before discovering the problems with breeding). But you have hit the nail on the head in my opinion, Situational awareness is exactly the solution that is required but currently the Alphas agro from too far away and from behind rocks/walls etc so you can suddenly be jumped by one even when being fully aware of your surroundings. They can (1) fix the line of site issue so they don't auto agro from places that cant be seen. (2) lower the agro distance, so people have a chance to see them (3) or as i suggested add another element to the game so people can get better situational awareness with the use of a new skill. (Alpha Awareness) I'm all for having tough things to fight, I personally would just like a fair chance against them. Im kinda fed up losing my tames to them (which is why my tames now live behind multiple walls, raised 1 wall above the foundation of my base and 8 foundations above the ground below {my base was built on the beach and i built the animal store out over the water for extra protection - theres no crocs on my island })
  10. i'f their AOE wasn't as large the Rock solution would be great if you weren't out with pack animals It would be useful if they added in a new skill into beast mastery which was something like "Alpha Awareness" which would allow the alphas to have a beacon/indicator over them from a reasonable distance so they could be avoided or trapped. if the skill was one that needed to be activated and lasted for 5-10 minutes it would be good in my opinion. They already have a glow but that can be quite easy to miss when the sun is in your eyes or the alpha is in long grass/behind a tree. The alphas have become the main source of exp for me (I'm currently level 67 on a unofficial server) and i tend to trap them in prebuilt traps to actually deal with them, the only problem with this is I'm now fairly limited to where i can level because they still munch through me if i decide to go out exploring.
  11. I've been playing the game since launch and despite all the bugs and issues I'm still enjoying it. My major gripe with the game is the balance between Tamed animals and predators on the islands, its still out of whack and because of this my tames have lived in their little box or only a few steps outside of my base under the cover of guards firing grape shot filled swivel guns or very rarely taking a small adventure. When i say small adventures what i mean is I had been using treasure maps (Where the treasure is on my island and not far from my base) to level up my animals due to the awesome exp they provide (using Alpha's to level tames is not feasible.) So a couple of updates ago when they stopped getting exp from the army of the undead I decided they will simply live in their box until they start getting exp again. I was hoping when 10.0 update dropped it would fix the issue and i might be able to level my tames again. Instead they got nerfed hard which was a kick in the peg leg! But the major issue i have now discovered is the requirements for them to actually level up is really out of this world. which makes me think something has gone quite wrong I'll use some of my tames as the example Wolf - wild level 37 Going from Tamed level 11 to 12 requires 120 exp wolf - wild level 38 Going from Tamed level 17 to 18 requires 180 exp both of these seem absolutely fine, the problem arises below: Bear - wild level 13 Going from Tamed level 32 to 33 requires 11,277 exp wolf - wild level 32 Going from Tamed level 40 to 41 requires 50,526 exp Bear - wild level 32 Going from Tamed level 41 to 42 requires 59,378 exp I'm not sure if its just me missing something obvious. I understand that the higher the level the animal the more exp it should need to level up but it seems like the scaling has gone a bit nuts. I wouldn't mind the requirements so much if i was still able to use the treasure maps as a source of exp, but in the current state, there aren't enough animals on my island to even put a dent in the levelling requirements of my higher level animals. Please be aware that all these animals were tamed prior to the 10.0 update. All the best RamboMc
