I know right now there is a height restriction on building up from the ocean floor if I remember correctly, I was building a docking area off my shipyards and at the end near the deepest section I wasn’t able to continue because of the height restrictions. I often thought of a waterworld themed game as well which you would need a little different design or you would have bases all over. Perhaps the only bases that could exist would be npc controlled and you would have to just rent a dock or bed if you wanted to stay there.

If that was really true then why would they even have pve servers on official ? If they didn’t want to have pve players in the game why have it or reinstate it after the wipe ? Talking about whining are we, pvp’ers have cried so much they have to have two game modes. So which one are you part of, the mega’s or small companies? I know your part of something the way your badgering pve’ers, you think you’ll win something from telling us to play on private servers ? You go play on a private server, you don’t need a whole map, what the hell you don’t really need a full region, your team and build on one island and your competition can build on another and then you can meet in the middle and sink one anothers ships and whoever has the most ships remaining wins, you have 15 mins per battle to take place and the winner gets to advance to the next round. Pvp at its best right there. Pve players need the whole atlas world so we can explore, examine and admire one another’s designs. We can make friends and build communities, established trade routes and take on the Kraken as a team. Pvp players should have no interest in any of that so why would you need much of an area at all ? It’s not like your going to sail from A1 to A8 just to have a sea battle, I mean what the hell are you thinking if you do that, that’s not pvp, that’s exploration. SOTD are just in the way for you because that isn’t pvp, that’s pve 100 %, whales are pve as well so tell me again why you need the whole Atlas map and pve players only need a little. Where does pvp really exist in a open world game if you have islands, quest and the pve creatures you have to deal with, is there a fountain of youth in pvp that you all have to do to regain your buffs ? You know that’s pve right !!! You might as well admit it, your so called pvp can’t even exist without our pve content, if you feel otherwise then by all means join a private server and eliminate any pve elements and see how long that last ? By the way if you have to fight off anything besides another player while your gathering materials to build your bases and ships then your doing pve.

Now wait a minute, let’s just get mad about it and everything. I can tell your a die hard pvp player, in fact every time you read something someone says good about pve then your blood pressure sky rockets , if you don’t calm down some you may have a heart attack and might be rushed to the hospital and be treated by one of these pvp’ers you’ been trolling and that might not end well. Perhaps you need to follow your own advice and drag some of your friends who like to troll other players and get a private server yourself. That way you can all bitch to each other about the other one sinking your ships and destroying your bases. It’s really easy to go back and forth, pve vs pvp vs pvevp but it all boils down to what the developers are trying to bring to the game. Telling us you don’t like pve is about as effective as us telling you we don’t like pvp. I mean in all honesty you could probably beat your head against a brick wall and make more headway convincing it that people who play pve should be playing private servers then what you will trying to convince us. You may try the beating your head against the wall though, it may knock some sense into you.

I guess you’ve never played any single player games, no rpg games, no mmorpg games, guess games like Morrowind, Oblivion, Shadow of Moldar: Middle Earth, Dungeons and Dragons, or the PVE side of games like World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls Online, EverQuest, Lord of the Rings the list just goes on and on and on. Not everyone plays pve to role play, there is such a diversity of players in PVE that community alone is enough to keep a game running for years and years and at times long after the developers have quit supporting it. What kind of diversity do you have in pvp ? Let me guess - haha I’m better then you are, haha my pc is faster than yours is, haha I killed you, haha I destroyed your stuff. Now for the diversity - you suck, you cheated, hacker, griefer, why are you using exploits, oh it took 5 of you to kill me, haha I’m going to get all my friends to come beat you up. Well you can correct me if I’m wrong, I’ll guess I’m pretty close though. Oh wait I may not be because I forgot all about making people rage quit and my group killed your group scenario. Hmm I guess you all do have some diversity afterall, now what was it you were saying about pve players ? Just because you weren’t able to beat Mario brothers, Zelda, Pac-Man or King Kong you think the only way you can be happy is by beating up on another player ? If all I had to do with all the different types of games out there is play against another player I believe that I’d actually have a life instead.

Ah you know, we can do guy stuff, fun stuff, things we will look back on and laugh about.

I guess your one of those who are not so smart, I already stated that I prefer the pve aspect of the game. Anytime you think you can hang with this fragile ass of mine, please by all means send me a dm and if it’s possible we can get together and hang out.

I knew a few who played pvp, those people were about as close to trolls, griefers and bullies as you could get. They hated everyone and rage quit anytime something wasn’t going there way but talked boatloads of trash when it was. I’ve never enjoyed listening to them in discord or understood why they continue to play if it bothers them that much to lose. They talked so much trash when they were winning I always knew I’d hear about someone committing suicide from being bullied in some mmo because when these people were cutting down people they cut them down deep. I even said stuff to get them to lay off and they just responded to deal with it. I know it’s a game and there is a power button but when words are said you can’t make them unheard, saying sorry doesn’t change the facts that things were said that shouldn’t have been. I was arguing with one of my friends about the whole thing and he said ok if it will shut you up I’ll apologize, I asked him if I broke his nose and shattered his jaw bone if I said I was sorry afterwards if it would make it like it never happened. Needless to say he told me to quit taking things so serious but I guess when you’ve lost people to suicide over something as stupid as them being bullied it is kinda hard to quit taking things so serious. After all it is just a game so why should anyone be trolling, griefing or just plain out bullying another player. I guess for some it makes them feel special, for others they want to dish out some of what has been dished out to them, me personally I have a tendency to take things personal and try to avoid situations where I’m going to dwell on a issue for to long. That’s why I like the player vs environment aspect, the npc’s or creatures are not real so when I get mad I can only get mad at myself. I’m learning though to walk away but it is a slow learning process.

Why not change the pvp system to ESO’s system, you have different regions that compete for each other’s territories. The region that holds the most gets benefits while they hold it. ?

Some I guess, there is nothing really saying how much time will pass between them, they just said they would wipe as needed to ensure they get the game moving in the direction they want. I’m guessing if this claim system doesn’t work they will wipe again until they come up with a solution that does work, it’s probably hard to leave a current claim system in place and change a claim system completely without wiping. It would have been a lot easier to just limit claims per account from the beginning and in order to make new claims you’d be required to remove some of your existing ones. A claim cap so to speak. That solves all the problems for existing players and new players coming in. There would always be land until the servers were full and there would be nothing left to claim. There would be no building on top of one another, no griefing to push you out or to join them. It would have solved all the issues everyone has had to deal with. New content comes out that opens new claims in new areas, if you want to live there then you either saved a few claims you didn’t use before or unclaim area that you currently have. It’s that simple, that continues to leave room for new players in the game and allows existing players to keep enjoying the game. I never had a massive base but large enough to hold contents from the game for building, BP’s and Bolas That were needed and if I gathered to many items then I would craft possible things to have in case I ran low on something. Gunpowder, Cannonballs, planks, sails, decks. General things needed to replace or repair a ship if needed. Bases so large you could fit a armada in is something I never seen the point in.

Danny you said you quit after they made the announcement but then stated that you’d continued to play if they had gave enough announcement before the wipe and then said you knew there would be multiple wipes. Which one is it ? You going to enjoy the game between wipes, or you quitting until they give more of a warning before the wipes ? If you knew they were going to wipe why did you quit playing? Isn’t that the same thing as lawless ?

I know people have left since the announcement of the server wipe but said they were coming back. With the latest Captains Log saying there would be more wipes as needed. “In relation to our Public Testing Realm overall, we’re planning to get multiple smaller clusters online which will incorporate the three game modes as well as everything else listed in the patch notes. Players can expect higher rates to facilitate fast progression and testing of the new systems along with the fact these servers are likely to wipe as needed. If the public test servers are only up for a week how many wipes could you possibly have to test anything unless they are referring to the three game modes on official servers.

Well I am and you are ? I see others who are starting to play, well I probably shouldn’t have mentioned the server wipe cause I haven’t seen them since, that or perhaps it was the new claim system coming out. I don’t know to be honest, I did let them talk to you after I’d done left the region, you may be plotting against the pve servers and secretly recruiting for pvp servers. I mean our region had a lot of people still after the wipe was mentioned and now you don’t see anyone.

From my understanding, those who can claim a island will have control on that island, they will have a limited window to demolish structures that are built. (I’ve heard almost 72 hours which is to long) For those who are settling the island, it will be like lawless, build anywhere you want, pillar spam, foundation spam build around your neighbors or over them. If your structures last through the limited window for it to be destroyed your golden. I wish they cared more about pve but as most of us can tell it’s just a after thought. I was really hoping they would announce some new changes with the latest captains log but after the details set forth for pvp they basically said nothing is changing from the last log for pve. they did say there would be more wipes though.

Danny, Blackbeard we were referring to was in a tv series called Blacksails. Sorry you were done that way, must suck to have treasure maps blocked, i often wondered if people knew they were blocking them in when they built there, you’d think the game mechanics would have set up to where you couldn’t build on them.

How did we get on taxation? This has nothing to do with the claim system, I’ve never complained about the taxes because I’ve never paid it any attention. I need x amount of y, so I gather x amount until y is met and then I move on. We are or were talking about living under someone else, I am against it and will probably live in lawless or find my own Little Rock and build there.

Lotus you like like to type, I’ll give you that much- when I was referring to the pirates I was referring to not being under someone, when you said that my npc is paid slaves I just completely lost on that. I’m basically just a employer who has hired them, it’s no different than any work anywhere, if I don’t pay and feed them they quit. In the video you stated that the shooting of the Galleon was offlineing, which is frowned upon, I’m sorry but is that not the same as griefing, destroying someone’s property while it’s not being used for what it was intended. I mean I didn’t see it at sea in a battle, I seen it anchored at shore. If Dollie is supporting the video is she as well not supporting the actions in the video ? I mean she did post it and give the link out then defended against the actions saying he was caught. Any way you look at it, destroying someone’s property in a way that it wasn’t intended to be destroyed in is griefing. If I park my truck and my ex comes up with a baseball bat and destroys it, am I not being griefed because that truck was fine sitting there, I wasn’t in the vehicle out playing in the woods, jumping water breaks with it. I’m guessing it was more than you used though? I know you said you had what 60 to 80 people who would get online through a weeks time ? ( trying to remember because I don’t feel like scrolling back up to see) so how much land did your company end up acquiring with your mergers vs the 60 to 80 members you had ? You brought it up so now I’m curious ? No I don’t just say things to be saying them, do you ?
