  1. This needs to be addressed for all server versions, both PVE and PVP, as unmanned and anchored ships, should be rendered immune to damage and weight-related sinking.
  2. Even though I am a PVP player, I wholly agree with you. Personally, ships that are unoccupied and anchored should become immune to damage as anyone seedy enough to attack an unmanned and anchored ship is NOT PVP'ing, they are Griefing instead. This aspect certainly needs to be addressed otherwise the game will be broken. There is nothing an offline player can do to protect their ships from griefing except to build a boat barn and this takes an enormous amount of space and resource and in some areas not even a possibility.
  3. Hello Grapeshot. Archery skill, all tiers of "Strong Arm" does not modify archery damage at all. The skill description says: "Increased Projectile damage by a specific percentage" but this does not actually occur at all. Beastmastery skill, all tiers of "Sneaking" does not affect aggressive creatures at all. The skill description says: "Wild creature visibility decreased by a specific percentage" but this does not actually occur at all. Grapeshot, please look into these skills and get them working correctly, thank you very much.
  4. Screw that, they have already nerfed our flame arrows! Instead of nerfing our flame arrows once again rendering them useless, I propose that Grapeshot consider increasing the ship's resistance to fire instead. This will serve us both as a win/win.

  8. Yep, I thought this was a great and intended tactic to overweight another player's ship and passively sink it. When I was new, I was in the Freeport stocking my chests when another player came over and opened my chests and emptied them. I didn't realize that they needed to be locked. I was very upset so I had loaded up on stone and meandered to their raft and eventually, they and their crewmates jumped on and it immediately sank. I felt extremely vindicated =p
  9. I understand that shields provide added protection but why in the hell do they weigh so much? Platemail armor doesn't even weigh anywhere near the same weight in comparison. Do you want shields to be viable or not? This has to be a bug, Grapeshot please address this!
  10. Yes, this has been the number one issue with this game. All of the islands are all claimed and have been since the first week =(.

  13. Damn good thing this is not your IP to f-up as you wish huh? I am a PVP player and taming is great in pvp. Try taking me on when I command a group of wolves and kite you with flame arrows... You just need to learn how to pvp biotch and stop your whining.
  14. Well, that debate could easily be posed another way. Maybe, Captaineering should be removed from the game. Taming would be a lot more useful if Grapeshot would drop Captaineering and focus more on taming. I understand some people like Captaineering... but oh well. You want to Captaineer... go play another game or make it a mod on a private server.
  15. Taming is just one of the many aspects of the game that Grapeshot wanted to offer. If taming isn't your thing then don't tame. Atlas is in dire need for all kinds of focus and redesign and they will slowly address things as their priority lists determine not by what your opinion prioritizes.
  16. Unoccupied and anchored ships should be immune to damage...these ships are not currently pvp'ing so why should they be subjected to griefers? The game encourages others to leave their homelands to sail to other islands for adventure, resource, and experience but doing so always leaves you stranded on an exotic island since as soon as you finally make the ship and sail to another island, your ship is immediately destroyed by random griefers. destroying or trying to steal an unoccupied and anchored ship is NOT pvp'ing it is called griefing and because of griefing, Atlas will be absolutely ruined. How about making safe harbors on all islands where you can safely moor your ships for gold coins? These could be NPC ran harbors and ships moored there would be flagged as immune as long as their fees are aptly paid in full.
  17. Why, you can overlap circle claims? I feel the real issue is that claims should be limited to just 5 claims per player. There is no reason, other than selfishness, for a single pathfinder to claim more than 5 claims since land is very limited. If you are in a large company than that company's territory will also be increased as each of their members will contribute their 5 claims to cover a large area the company will occupy.
  18. That is pretty lame man. This is a pirate era, survival MMO. There are a lot of different aspects available in the game for all to enjoy. If you like sailing with a large crew of AI controlled crewmen great. If others enjoy taming animals, great it's in the game too. If there is an aspect you don't like in Atlas then you are in luck, you are not forced to play that particular aspect of the game. Play the way you want but don't expect others to always want to play the way you play.

Since you want players to travel beyond their own home island and explore/adventure, can you please remove the ability to damage or steal anchored and unoccupied ships that are parked off island coasts? How in the hell would you like us to travel around the map seeking adventure, rare resource, and treasure if our boats are always so vulnerable and continue to get stolen or sunk by griefers? It is such a waste of time and resource. If our ships are unoccupied and anchored it adds absolutely no pvp value to the game then, messing with our ships would just be griefing then. So how about creating safe ports for players to pay to have their ships safely moored while exploring the island? Until you consider such, this game is extremely broken.
  21. I sure would love to see the ability to dual-wield one-handed melee weapons. The ability to equip two, rapiers, sabers, or daggers would be awesome. This would create a flashier type of fighter, a Swashbuckler!

  24. Hopefully, by then I am doing pretty soundly to have some flyers myself or at the very least near my burn out for the game. Flying will certainly ruin the game for me though.
