I recently started playing Atlas again in single player mode. I have been trying to fill waterskins from water spouts. The first couple worked OK but suddely it's no longer working. I can open the spout inventory and place the waterskin in it, but it doesn't fill. I can drink from a water spout and had no problem filling skins from the pool on the starter island. Is anyone else seeing the same problem? Update: I have found out two more pieces of information. If I make a new waterskin, I can fill it once but, after that, it has the same problem. I can fill waterskins without any problem when it rains.

I'd like to suggest that, following the wipe, the maximum number of claims per company is initially set low and gradually increased to the ultimate limit, e.g. 1 claim per company on day one and increasing by 1 per day until the proposed limit of 20 per company is reached. This give small companies a chance to grab an island early on, while still allowing large companies to take more islands by conquest later.

Actually, I'd rather not know. As soon as a wipe is announced, the majority of people will stop logging in until it happens, and a lot of people will lose interest during that time and not come back afterwards/

Logged out and back in, after which Left Click worked, which at least allowed me to catch fish, but was still not able to use R or Alt in water.

This is a serious issue. While I can understand the concept that Freeports should not be a place to make your big ships safe, it's the new players who haven't managed to get out of a Freeport yet who suffer. The game is virtually impossible to play anything close to casually. I started in the northern Freeport of a cluster and sailed to the southern Freeport because the realistic prospects for making a base are to the south. It took me several hours of gathering pretty much everything from scratch to purchase a raft, outfit and provision it. Before I can log in tomorrow, it will all have decayed, except for the stuff like wood, fibre and thatch that easy enough to replace. Tomorrow, as I will be back at work, I won't have enough time to start all over again, purchase a new raft, re-outfit it, re-provision it. I am a couple of hops closer to an island where I can make a base, but I won't be able to go any further until the weekend. Certainly, in the early game, there is no point logging on for an hour; you need several hours to make any progress that isn't reversed overnight.

I no longer seem to be able to go into combat mode in water. R, Alt and Left Click do not work while in water. I can get out of the water and go into combat mode but as soon as I get back into the water, combat mode clears again. This makes it impossible to hunt fish to restore vitamin D.
