Although on that brig I only have the top and bottom decks, I left out the middle one to have the height for a forge, loom and tannery. Maybe that 2 wall high clearance is what allowed my cow to pop out.

Mine are stuck in buildings.  On a ship, just lower and raise the anchor tnd they'll pop up.

Changing the claimsystem is just a good opportunity for a fresh start

A wipe? Fresh start?  Seriously???  Ok, I'm going to guess one of two things here. Either your suffering from alzheimer's or you weren't here on day one.  The last thing this dev team needs right now is a repeat performance of the game's launch.

This leads to the frustrating situation where all we can really do is wait for the bug fixing team to fix the particular bug that’s driving us nuts atm. Not producing new content won’t and can’t lead to that being done faster.

Right, here's the problem with that methodology, The pilot flies it, the mechanic fixes it and the stewardess assists customers. Right now, our pilot is blind and flying any general direction he chooses. The mechanic has no manuals on how the plane was built so he's trying to fix things by guessing at what the pilot busted. And the stewardess?  She's been replaced by an automaton that stands in the aisle and keeps repeating, "thanks for your patience."

Seriously though, instead of new features and mechanics, fixing tames that go through floors and randomly disappearing crew should be a priority...

You're lucky that didn't result in udder destruction.

Seriously though. I've got 3 bears stuck in floors and 1 has been for 3 weeks. I refuse to rip up my floors yet again. If I finally get sick of looking at bear, I'll blunderbuss his ass.

It would be much better just to go with the ark build anywhere design. Works wonders. Sure there were some pillars around but it is by far a better design

Oh I am going off of ark as well man. I have 3 years of reasons to think they are bad, not just the few reasons from atlas

Make up your mind. Did you love or hate Ark?

Yeah, no mans sky is right back in the toilet where is was before. They also tricked people into coming back but they found out quick lol. But you are right, if you want apples and apples then no mans sky and atlas are pretty similar. How do you like them apples? 😂

3 minutes ago, Jozzie McTowel said:

And No Man's Sky also made fake promise on reveil that it was a multipayer game while it wasn't, at least it wasn't for a long time until they added it in. So yeah if u wanna compare Atlas to No Man's Sky you are making a good comparison as they both sold half truths.

Which again reveals that by cherry-picking your comparisons you can get charts to say what you want. Like dem apples? (wow, that was the lamest comeback ever)

  8. 11 minutes ago, Jozzie McTowel said:

This is my couple week old comparison, for those who said it was normal to lose that many players over time take a look at these top Steam games and look at their All Time Peak and their 24 Hour Peak. These pictures are still generous to Ark and Atlas because of them being a few weeks old. Only games which is doing bad in comparison is GTAV and that's probably because their online part is also a cheatersfest that isn't taken care of by the devs but hey they also do still release new content right?

You were not comparing apples to apples.  Do I need to post my chart of Atlas vs No Man's Sky again?  Charts and graphs are relative.  You can make them display anything you want by manipulating the way the chart is laid out and you can furthermore create exactly what you want to show by cherry-picking the comparisons, which you obviously did.  Furthermore, charts only show the past trends, they do not predict the future.

We are even letting people build on our land with 5% tax and no rent cost so they can farm and have their own base but they want their own claims.

I understand everyone wants to have a claim of their own but in the current situation this is the only option until they change claim system in upcoming update.

I'm currently working with a guy who I'm going to give a waterfront claim to.  Once myself and the neighbors are comfortable that he's not an asshat or a griefer, I'll demolish the claim I'm allowing him to build on with no problem.  This benefits my company, our neighbors and allies and the guy who's building on the claim.  We all get a good neighbor (we hope), he gets a claim of his own that ensures his hard work can't be taken away, and we get tax collection from the inland claims he'll be farming.

Hoarding claims isn't the only option. While the dev's may consider claim count a 'win', hoarding claims has so far generated enough animosity toward the system that the devs are going to change it. And IF the changes still allow hoarding, the complaints will continue to pile up until something drastic is done.

Unless land owners, like you and myself, come up with a viable solution that gives players what they want while still achieving the goals we as land owners want, the devs will be forced to ram something down our throats. And what they come up with will likely be much less palatable that the solution we come up with.

So, I suggest you approach this like a business.  If they're already on your claims, you have a captive audience.  Make them happy by giving them a claim, raise the taxes and you create a monopoly where everyone is happy (mostly).  Or should I say happier?

  10. Tips:

Press M to bring up the map - hold the right mouse button to focus on the compass + hold ctl to bring up a camera + left click the mouse to take a picture.  They're saved as Ark .pnt files in \ATLAS\ShooterGame\Saved\MyPaintings

Don't ever try to make a helpful post because @Realist will HAVE to sabotage it.

If you know it’s wildcard then I am surprised you are optimistic. I stopped being optimistic after I was done with ark. 3 years of being optimistic, but no longer. I already know what happens next and next after that. These guys work like clockwork.

Truly is a shame. I was actually hoping I would like how this game turned out. Unfortunately that is not the case. No doubt another company will make another one at some point though

There will always be wildcard pve grieves. Even if they patch it they will figure out another way. Always do

You know wildcard isn’t good at updates right? Don’t even bother reading the patch notes, just wait to see what is different or more likely, worse. 😂

    Shall I continue?

Because I want it to be a game I will like. The closer it is to ark, the more I will like it. Luckily is it moving towards ark so I am pleased with some of the changes.

everyone has a vision for the game. I just want to make my vision the true one

    Bullshit!

Now you're trying to make us believe you really want to play this game?

    Bullshit!

You can defend it all you want, just don’t bother with the “its alpha” talk. No, it’s wildcard. They are the problem. It isn’t the launch that was bad, it is the fact that it will continue to be bad because wildcard is a bad dev company.

yes I can say I know that will happen because I have their 3 year track record on my side. What do you have? Hope? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Wait, some dude who doesnt even play the game, let alone own the game? Comes up in here to start threads about his opinions on said game.

You obviously don't understand him.  He is Don Quixote. He does not see this game for what it is and refuses to do so.  Instead, he imagines himself as some knight in shining armor chasing dragons, which are nothing more than windmills.  Whether he's trying to extract vengeance for something Wildcard did to him personally or whether he, like the Man of La Mancha has simply lost his sanity is irrelevant.  Because, unlike the heroic hidalgo, this knight errant has his mind set on destruction rather than salvation.

Anyone who makes a positive post, he will blindly ignore because it doesn't further his goals. He has no desire to improve this game or help it succeed.  He's hoping it burns to the ground. He will attempt to mask this burning hatred by quoting irrelevant stats. He will regurgitate opinions of of others without forming his own.  He will make comparisons to Ark as if we didn't know those comparisons exist and then claim Atlas is a failure because of it.

He is on a crusade where logic is irrelevant and only his hatred matters. His target is Grapeshot and he's using your opinion as his weapon. Until you hate Grapeshot as much as he does and quit the game, he won't stop and he doesn't give a damn about collateral damage.

All this topic raising about hackers is not done to make you believe in something. It's to force Devs to give an answer to a serious problems that they are ignoring.

That's our only weapons against hackers.

If many of your mates had quitted cuz of aimbotter you would have not given that "serious pve answer" and you would be concerned like us for a game we love.

    A. Bitching is not a weapon. And if you haven't gotten an answer then that IS your answer.
    B. It's not about what you know or how loud you can scream, it's about what you can prove. Collect hard evidence, not... he one shotted me.  Show me a video of one guy getting shot repeatedly and not dying.  Show me a video of your 20 man team getting laid out all by the same guy in the space of 10 minutes... and not being naked when you are shot.
    C. I quit playing CS many years ago before Steam created VAC because of aimbots. And I loved it.

  16. Ok, I've looked at all these posts claiming hacking.  And while I have no doubt that hacking is occuring, the vast majority of the 'evidence' I've seen so far has been dubious or anecdotal.

Of those threads you've shown above, only one definitely shows a hacker using a well known tool to cheat with.  All of the others prove nothing and provide no concrete evidence. A chick swimming naked in the ocean dying to one bullet isn't all that surprising.  A video of a guy running around killing wolves and bitching for 10 minutes about hacking is not proof.  A picture of a floating bear is not proof of hacking. It is proof that the game is bugged.  I've seen flying crewmembers and bears myself that had nothing to do with hacking.  I've had a carriage floating in my harbor for days now not even attached to a horse.

If you want me to believe, show me. Provide concrete evidence and I'll jump on your bandwagon. Until then, I remain skeptical.
