You don't need a source to know that a server is refusing connections. Not sitting here arguing with you, check twitter for when they put the sever back up.

The servers are refusing connections, they are doing this on purpose to test everything. Just be patient.

You guys just need to calm down, there has been no talk of clearing any progress so I'm sure when the servers go back up you'll be able to reconnect where you left off. Give them time.

You were probably in one of the servers that are down, even if you try connect to one of the other servers it sometimes defaults you to your characters home server which is down and it will throw you out, give them time I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

It has been down for about 3 hours along with the other servers that got taken down, they can't just take another server down and boot that one back up, they are monitoring the other servers and will start them all back up when they are finished, be patient.

Yeah that is a problem that they will probably address in the future but I'm sure we'd prefer them to work on the general stability of servers right now. I'm sure they will fix this in the future.

When you selected your home region you may have selected a server that is currently down, if that is the case you will not be able to join as your character is on that server. You will have to wait until that comes back up until you can reconnect.

If your friends are playing on the grid you are trying to connect to I recommend restarting your game and or steam client and trying again where as if the server says 0/150 then it is most probably down for maintenance, might be unfair for progression but it's something you would expect for an early access game.

That update was just to fix some client stability issues (fix some crashes etc.) you were able to still play but due to the maintenance servers are currently down. Some unofficial servers are still up so you could try your luck connecting to one of those. Neco

This is not a bug the servers are currently going up and down due to maintenance and have been for the last 3 hours, give them another hour or so and I'm sure we can all set sail again. Keep updated with the maintenance by following Jat on twitter (https://twitter.com/Jatheish)

They are shutting down certain servers to try different things, if you look at any of the worlds PVP or PVE you will see that a lot are down. For example EU PVE has all of the freeports down, we just have to wait for the devs to be done with the maintenance. I don't think they are going to be wiping any characters, they are currently really busy testing and debugging the issues we are currently getting, be patient and I'm sure the servers will be up in no time.

The devs said that this maintenance will affect some servers I guess it hit EU PVP hard, we just have to wait until they are done with the maintenance. I'm sure we'd all rather them take their time and get it right than rush it and have to do the same tomorrow or after Christmas.
