OK. But im still nit sure where the mats need to be stored because when I look at a damaged plank for instance, it appears to be going by the resources I have in my personal inventory, as far as what is needed to do the repair. I have all the resources in my ships box, but its ignoring all of those. Am I making sense? Lol

OK, I git the repair hammer part of it working, but when I look at broken planks it says I need wood, metal, fibers and thatch. Once I put enough mats in my inventory I can repair the planks myself, but how do I get the crew to do this?

I have 3 crew with 2 on the sails. My one crew member that's not assigned to the sails just stands around moving his hand on and off his heart and chanting something. I saw several videos where that 3rd NPC had a,broom sweeping animation, but mine doesn't do that, he chants to some unknown deity. Lol I thought that if you had enough resources in the resources box, that the crew would automatically repair as long as your anchored, I have hundreds of wood, fiber etc in the ships resource box, but when I look at a ships part, it says I have 0 of all of these resources. So I guess I'm not sure where to keep these resources.

I found it. Must have missed it in the night. I just bought NPC'S for the first time. How do I pay them? Sorry, if this is a dumb question. I'm new to the game.

M7 is where I'm at. It has 3 identical islands. I guess ill have to keep looking. Thanks

I'm in M7 and the first island I went to didn't have a dock or NPC'S on it. Is there a way to tell by looking at the Mao which islands in a Freeport zone do? Thanks.

I solo thermally the time. I tame up 7 or so boars and let them do 99% of the work. I got over 3,ooo gold and 150 blueprints yesterday alone.

I've just started playing and found my first 2 treasure chests and was shocked at his many blueprints they contain. I found over 150 in those 2 chests. It would take forever to see if I liked specific ones or they are duplicates. Do you guys keep all the blueprints you get? Thanks

When you're sailing your ship, how do you identify Freeports? Thanks

I'm on XB1. When I'm near my shipyard, the Help text says to place required resources into the Shipyard and construct the ships ribbing from its crafting menu. When I go into the shipyard inventory I don't see a crafting area. How do I access it? And can you construct the planks from there or do you have to use the Smithy for those? FYI. I've already built the Schooner frame, so I don't know if that determines if you see the shipyard crafting menu. Thanks

Wow. You tried to be cute and didn't even answer my question. At all. If you read my post, which you obviously didn't, you'd see that I've already built the shell of the Schooner. That's all you're little link shows you how to do. It doesn't tell you what you need to sheath the ship. Look up the word SHEATH. I think that's what threw you, kid. Thanks for your response. It was very unhelpful.

Can you just run over them with you ship or do you get close and press a button? I know about the grappling hook but I don't have one yet. I'm on the XB1. Thanks

Hit B, go to the Atlas tab. On the right side of the screen are various options. One of them toggles whether the camera focuses the player while viewing the map. Try that.

Starting today I can't see items in the campfire inventory. I know the items are moved there because I can start a fire, but you can't see the wood, ash etc in the campfire's inventory. In fact, when I move an item into the campfire inventory, one of the empty, black squares actually disappears from the screen. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm on XB1. Thanks.

Pfft Obviously, you can't read, because I very CLEARLY stated that I know you need the small shipyard and that's not the question. And if I've never played the game how would I know you need the smithy to craft one? Its entitled, little kids like you that ruin boards like this. I've had nothing but great responses from 99.9% of people here, but once in awhile you get kids like you that don't know how to act in the real world. I pity you and I sincerely hope you get a better outlook on life.

I have the necessary skill, but when I go to my shipped yard, I only can build a raft and dingy. Why is this? I lost my ship to pirates and I'm stranded on an island and I need to build a new Sloop. UPDATE I found 1 answer, but that leads to another. I only have access to build a Tiny shipyard. Why can't I build the Small shipyard if I own the skill (Shipwright)? Thanks

Hopefully one of the Devs will answer this definitively. I keep getting the Photo mode when I open the map and the only way to fix this is to completely go back to the main menu and restart the game. I've read that on the PC, its ctrl + Left click (something like that), so what's the XB1 equivalent? Thanks.

I thought that after reaching lvl 8 you couldn't level up anymore and got a message saying this. I just reached lvl 9 and I'm still leveling up, so did the raise the level cap at the starting Freeports, or this yet another bug?
