strawman 114 Posted December 27, 2018 I keep seeing what I think are sloops with one medium sail. Is this possible?
Bonedancer 26 Posted December 27, 2018 (edited) You'll ideally want a speed sail in the front and a handling sail in the rear on a sloop. Already went through this several times. You can do two speed sails and gain more speed, but you'll have quite a bit of maneuverability loss. Edited December 27, 2018 by Bonedancer
strawman 114 Posted December 27, 2018 Cool, thanks. It seems like one medium speed or handling sail would be the easiest for one player to control?
Bonedancer 26 Posted December 27, 2018 Just now, strawman said: Cool, thanks. It seems like one medium speed or handling sail would be the easiest for one player to control? Not really, bud. Set your heading and you don't even need to man the wheel. For the most part, you'll be sailing in once direction for awhile. You may run into trouble in sea storms, especially if you die. There's a bug that will fling you right off the boat upon respawning in your bed. I've found a work around for that by placing a chair with the back facing your bed just behind it. It'll catch you and you'll be able to respawn with no isses.
Evir 38 Posted December 27, 2018 The handling sail, is significantly slower, I do not see much of a handling difference on the smaller sails. Also, are you saying that the game takes into account specific sail placement? IE front, back, and distance between?
