offline rading with next patch easier.

it seems that flags wont be contested with sleeping bodies in the next update. so getting offlined is much easier. why make it worse????? offline protection is very bad in this game!!!! so do not implement this feature!!!! keep in mind that people will ddos their server while they sleep, to prevent this kind of crap (just like ark). dont go this way!!!

You can hire an NPC and keep it at your claim. They work to save your claim, allegedly, just like your sleeping body used to.

Sleeping bodies contesting claims would no longer be a benefit to anybody except extreme casuals. Claims are protected for up to 21 days of no activity, and that’s without hiring an NPC.

The current way can keep claims in circulation, as they’re recycled when a player doesn’t log in periodically.

It’s not perfect, as theoretically a single player could claim the entire world and just use beds to fast travel to all the islands every 3 days to maintain them.

It’s also not impossible to kill a sleeping player anyways, even in PvE. The longer claim timer is far better than your mostly-dead body just laying there.

And who wants to listen to all that snoring, anyways?

They should yes. Try reading the entire patch notes.

 

- Pinging on an enemy claim flag should show all contesting NPC crew, in addition to players.

oh i see, thx for helping out harryplopper. then its just better then before, because u can use npc's aswell for contesting flags. this topic can be closed.
