Changing Servers Via Sailing (Red Wall)

Hi there. I'm on a laggy server, A1. I've sailed an hour west to the western sea wall, it's red and my raft crashes into it. This means I can't change nodes in that direction. I got that. 
I spend 1h30 sailing north, same issue. Giant red wall. 
I spend 1h sailing south, same issue. Giant red wall. 

I could check out East but.. is it just a general server problem right now? I'm trapped in a freeport zone until the red walls go away, and it takes hours to prepare to go anywhere.

I think the red walls mean the adjacent server is full.

I hit a blue wall sailing west from M11, got the message I was crossing over to L11 and crashed.  Reloaded client and was prompted to create a new character.... I understand the early access... it’s kinda odd I have to recreate a toon to switch servers... lose 8 levels of progress. Freeport’s are limited to level 8 and you can’t build... my recommendation don’t let people start in Freeports if they can’t move to other servers

Its all on the same server.

When you pass a blue,red wall you pass to diffrent zone.

Why would it prompt me to remake my character? I was on a raft

Should be a full server if on official.
