Adding & modifying islands on existing server

Hello,

 

Has anyone tested if you can add another island to a server grid or modify the island layout to existing server grids without wiping the DB and saved files?

 

And what impact it may have?

You can add, but modifying existing islands will break the grid, if the island has players and buildings on

You can modify the island, move it around and delete it. Anything built on the island will be in the same location, so if you delete an island, it will leave floating buildings. You can add island without any issue other than someone happens to be sailing at the spot you are trying to add the island. You can even add island on 1 grid without updating it on another and it will still work.

How do i add islands ?

u must edit the project not the existing map to work.

If u change islands positions u have to delete the save directory because of the spawns and builings
