Character saves (cannot see on second computer)

Good afternoon!

Is anyone else playing on two different computers and not able to see their character on their second computer?  I have my computer at home and a laptop at work.  I would like to play over lunch, when I'm able, but i cannot see my character on my laptop.  I don't want to log into the NA PvE server and create a new character and erase my primary guy (when I connect to NA PvE server the game prompts me to create a new character).  Are characters saved locally?  Anyone else have any light they're willing to shed on this?

You won't lose your character. You just join the server you normally play on and it'll load your character from the server. Characters are not saved locally.
