The ghost ships and claims are killing the game

Hope they will come up with something as when was waiting for the game to release wanted to be some rare supplies merchant, setting on a tiny island (like in cartoons wiht one palm lol, tho maybe not as radiculously small) and trade with various companies and other small groups while not engaging in combat preferably. Right now almost allĀ islands are pretty big, most if not all claimed, they all have the same resources with exceptions like tundra lacks sap and most of their islands have no fiber but those are basic reosurces, not some exotics, they don't need us, they get almost everything on their main island and if missing something, that's propably on the island nearby and gonna just send a gathering party. That's why sticking to the pve, don't like lossing stuff, especialy in an offline raid so as long as offline raiding exist propably will never pick pvp server unless there would be ppl from those companies that trading with that would protect the house when not being online like some guards lol.

Are you aware that crafting blueprints tend to require multiple kinds of the same kind of mat category? Example: not just requiring x amount of metal, but x amount of 3 different kinds of metal. This means people do indeed need to explore if they want to be able to make most upgraded gear, as each region tends to have maybe a couple of each type of mat category, but not everything. Thus if you managed to get your hands on an island that contained say iridium or salt, there's likely still going to be a market for it. You might need to take that product to buyers elsewhere, so sitting at home to trade might not work, but just thought I'd throw that info out there.

Yeah, know it, noticed few days ago when couldn't craft a blueprint even tho had resources... however, traveling right now is filled with SoDs, don't want to have a wall of undead suddenly pop on the other side of the grid wall, the other players might also attack since pvp..., but tbh, that's expected. Anyway, those are just excuses, not feeling like blueprint requirements are enough to gain a traveling merchant safety pass. One day, one day will try something but would be nice if such trading possibilities could be expanded.

SoD are nerfed now to the point their speed is slow, their aggro range is tiny, and they mostly circle in place. I have traveled across multiple grids in the past few days in a sloop, come within well inside render range on SoD, and have yet to have any aggro on me. At this point they seem mostly a surprise danger when crossing zones and a thing to go around, otherwise not much threat. Other players are a different matter if you're on pvp.

Same and that's what talking about, the gang up when crossing servers and that they are so many, they are not that scary when avoiding them, but haing a wall of 3-6 of them just blocking off a way and having to go against the wind. Mostly being scared abou the crossing servers, bigger ships have bigger agro range and since friend don't enjoy the "mostly negative" reviews and bf couldn't play bcs of some weird 20 fps lockdown in this game for him, lossing a ship would be big for a solo player.
