How do I change spawn region with my character?

When I try to change region to join my friend I spawn at the same place I was in before regardless what place I try to spawn at.

dont try it, it will just start you from the beginning..

When you die, choose the bottom right option "change home region".

Note: you're dead, so no gear transfer.
