meril 2 Posted December 29, 2018 (edited) If you brush up just a hair too close to a wall, you faceplant and it's nearly impossible to break free. Making simple slight turns or trying to pull out of tough spots is absolutely mental. If this is an example of what the entire core of the game is going to be like then this bs needs to be fixed immediately. The wind mechanic is cool for when you're actually sailing, NOT for when you're trying to make landfall or LEAVE landfall for that matter. Please fix it. Put a rudder on it, give me an oar, let me kick off the rock, give me SOMETHING because consistently losing raft after raft due to horrible movement mechanics is infuriating. Domino 48 Posted December 30, 2018 I never had that much trouble with the raft, although they are frustrating, no doubt about that! It is easy to get stuck on things, it's usually best to avoid getting to close to them. If you do get stuck, try angling your sail in an opposite direction and usually the wind will catch and pull you out (sometimes slowly). Winter Thorne 696 Posted December 30, 2018 I have a raft stuck in rocks that's actually a graphics glitch. (Like being stuck in a wild pig when you're fighting the pig, if you've ever had that happen). Can't access the sails to raise or lower them, because the anchor is down and will only raise for about 6 seconds and then lower again. I'm hoping the next server restart shakes it free.
