  1. xbox players get shafted in cross platform games anyway, the game usually costs over twice as much, the lag is awful and the graphics are severely reduced. There aren't many companies that really care that much about console ports for games, it's just milking the cash cow even more. And I have nearly all my steam games on xbox so I really do know the difference. Even ESO that I have played since release on pc is the same. When I put a help ticket in on pc its answered in 24 hrs, I put one in on xbox and never get a reply at all. Tbh console players should boycott games developers that mistreat them, but lets be honest, that's never gonna happen.

  2. The blank map is crazy, how can I find a damn freeport to hire crew with no map? or go back to my main base after sailing out? Also the lumber gatherer isnt working at all. The metal miner is fine though. I've got so many skills uncraftable now as well.

  3. Yeh I didn't want to start all over again just in case I couldn't run the game again. which is what happened with my steam version of Atlas. So far I cant craft a smithy and strangely I cant craft a table either. Also the shipyard says in red that the water is not deep enough to construct a ship,no matter how far out I put it. and I'm not going to put it in the middle of the ocean. I wish they had checked the game properly before running the update.

  4. Well at least they've done something, good or bad? i'll play it to see for myself. Tbh though, the portals look naff. They look a bit like coffee cup coasters. But other ideas seem to be an improvement at least.

I'd like to say though, considering all the examples of old pyrate ships and galleons etc that are available, the new ships are plain and boring as a plank to look at. Where is all the ship decoration? the finials and lamps. where is the sleek hull lines and ship style? the modular ships look like lego kits. I don't want to be a successful notorious Pyrate, who sails the seas in an ugly giant tug boat. Have some flair and panache please devs.

  5. As I have mentioned before, gambling and the encouragement to gamble in games has had new regulations brought out. Not sure how they would affect Atlas, but I know some online games have managed to find a work around. I will say though having worked in the gambling industry years ago and seeing people at their lowest from losing, I personally would not want it in a game that children can play.

  6. If it was true that they wanted all players out there sailing and battling as soon as , then why introduce gold for ships in the first place? Also they stated they wanted to make it easier for small groups and solo players, So again why the gold cost for ships? They are contradicting their own roadmap. Maybe they should go into politics instead of game development!

  7. Replaying Atlas is like going back to a bad ex, you know they keep making promises they will never keep, yet at the same time play on your emotions to keep giving them more chances ,stating how you knew who they were when you took them back and you knew things might not change. In the end you realize they are toxic for you. You count your losses and move on.

  8. The problem with pre fab ships is also that everyone is evenly matched, whereas when ships are designed and built by players, there is an element of the unknown when attacking or being attacked. It gives someone who is better at building, an edge in battle. Pre fab ships will get predictable and boring eventually.

  9. Dark and light In my opinion is the best game these devs have produced, and over 4 years it's still in early access, I don't know why they never brought that out for xbox. At least it has plenty to do in it. And single player works really well. But still Early access over 4 years, What does that say is gonna happen to atlas? As for the plant pot.........

  10. I thought the whole road map for atlas was to aim towards getting everybody out at sea fighting and exploring. Well adding gold for ships has done the complete opposite. It seems that the devs own sextant is completely broken now, cos they are no longer following their own map. What a waste of all the potential that Atlas used to have. More tames and turtle shaped ships indeed. ARK  DLC, YYAAWWWNN.

  11. I'd still rather wait for the series X, that way I won't be buying both of them. Cos I know games are gonna come out for the series X  that won't run on the series S. And tbh I actually don't suffer many lag probs on my one x, only if there is 50 or more players in the same area. And that only really happens in eso pvp. Even then its rare I get too much lag. But I have no idea when the series X will be available to me, it could be another year.
