  1. Personally I am pretty good at building ships, and I like doing it. A bit more realism would be nice, but I think by the sounds of things it will be getting closer to being an Atlas sea of grieves. With everything pre-fabed .So we can all spend more time being civil to each other at sea.

  2. Personally I'd rather hear nothing at all than many words that  say nothing at all. If Atlas doesn't work out then I can thoroughly recommend the team seek employment in politics. Where vagueness is seen as a positive character trait. At least I think that's what I might mean to say, but i'll have to look into it first. Or maybe I might. thx for all the info, most helpful.

  3. In some games you can't participate in pvp until you are a certain level, which I feel they could implement in Atlas. I've played some games where players will literally wait for you to re-spawn just to kill you over and over again. What a stupid game mechanic that is, they only have to change the re-spawn area for players to stop it. At least Atlas doesn't do that.

  4. I had that recently in single player, I was right on the shore line too. It was ok later on so I guess it was another glitch. I have had loads of glitches and bugs since last update. None of my previous smithy's worked properly either so I had to rebuild them all.

  5. The crazy thing is even my home internet doesn't use a static ip address all the time. I had a nightmare with my games on xbox when this happened before. I even asked my provider to give me a static address, but they couldn't at the time. Although I know I can do it now I'd rather not have to. you'd think in the modern age of gaming that this sort of thing wouldn't happen.

  6. I used to have this problem with my xbox when I had a changing ip address. I thought microsoft musta fixed the issue though cos it doesn't happen on my xbox now. I know most hot spots aren't classed as secure connections though, could it be that?

  7. I don't so much have a problem with the devs sticking to their original pvp vision for the game because there are plenty of mmo's for me to play, sadly no decent pyrate ones yet. But at the end of the day game developing is a business, and you have to evaluate where the money is coming from, now and in the future. And a lot of players only bought this game for the pve aspect. If they do go mainly pvp, and just give pve players a world with nothing to do, then they will lose at least half of their future sales. It amazes me now how many modern businesses seem to forget they can't function without money

  8. Yeh I agree that pve would be great if they added more npc's and environment stuff, the problem I have with the farmhouses is the direction it takes us, because they are not yet adding more things to do at sea, and I wonder if we will eventually see just more incentive for conflict, and nothing else. So that pve will just be the pvp world with no fighting. I have been playing since release and even with the smaller map it's still pretty much the same pve experience that it was at launch. With the exception of claiming and taming that is. Bottom line is I would like to have more to interact with in the game, not less. I'm sure i'm not the only pve'er that feels that way either.

  9. Hmmm, either way it would have been nice if they just gave us a new boat style, even a blueprint we could buy from a vendor would be something. It would be nice to see a genuinely thought out addition to the game as I think the farmhouses for me, as a mainly pve player are a bit of a wet firework. Still, it's not my game company and at the end of the day I am not short of good mmo's to play, would just be good to see a pyrate one with some decent role playing thrown in. Even skull and bones may be a long way off yet. if ever.

  10. I think the reason gaming companies chose pvp is because it requires virtually no dlc and practically runs itself. It's like chess with the same board.unlike in pve where players like visuals and npc interaction. But I also have a suspicion that someone up high making the decisions is a die hard pvp'er. But I do agree that by sidelining pve they are losing out on a lot of income potential.
