  1. Agree. If a member of a company is known to be cheating, the Leader of that company should be held responsible for confronting that player and either requiring him to stop or booting him should he refuse to do so, else that player damage the company as a whole should he be caught.   If the company leader does not accept this responsibility to his honorable  members, he shares in the responsibility for what ever happens.

And if other members of said company are aware of one of theirs cheating, they also have the responsibility of reporting this to their Company Leader so that he is aware.  And if they don't, then they  also share responsibility for whatever happens.

It's the "win at any cost" attitude that destroys most games.

  2. "He who sleeps with dogs wakes up with fleas"  unknown.

Problems like this might be less of a problem if people start forming tighter, more close nit groups instead of relying on zergs to carry the day.

The US Military Academy at West Point has an Honor system which mandates that if you are aware of another cadet cheating, you are Honor bound to report them.

Perhaps the gaming community as a whole would be better if more players adopted a similar outlook.

    my 2 cents.

PvP doesn't have the lag issue to this extent because there is a natural process of despawning bits of player-built structures: the PvP itself.

They destroy each others RP disney castles so the server does not lag out from having to deal with some bullshit 10 million piece care bear utopia.

If you want to get rid of the lag, here is what you do:

Randomly select and destroy pieces of your base until the lag is gone.

If you see some of those entitled, ignorant egocentrics who built themselves a bullshit 10 million piece care bear central, tell them that they are consuming all the server power that was meant to serve hundreds of other players for only themselves and their 10.000 worthless bears.

    You can thank me later.

This, also, the Islands in the PvP servers aren't surrounded by a solid ring of indestructible Gallys, which ship structures ALSO contribute to the lag.

here we go with the new player white knighting situation again, i had to argue with several people like you 14 months ago, all of them were blind, arrogant and defensive (no offense but that describes them just exactly) because i was being critic with the game, all of them came up with a wide variety of quickly tought excuses to defend the game, from self imposed unawareness to stright up lying to themselfs, right now several of them dont play the game anymore and the ones that do had noother choice but to directly or indirectly accept that my predictions were spot on.

I have seen that trend re-appear recently due to xbox players buying the game, wich is quite telling considering the bad reputation (well earned) the game currently have not only in the youtube gameplay reviews but also in videogame magazines, with even metacritic review score being as low as 1/10. I know for a fact that most console users hardly do any research if at all when buying a game, so allow me to suggest you to do a deep in research about what has happened in the game's development process so you can do a self critic about your statement just now.

that said i know i am rough with words, so dont take my statements as toxic/salty or personal attacks you are free to do/think/buy whatever you want, but i suggest you to do it after you are well informed.

The last thing I'm doing is defending this, or any other game.  The Devs here, the old ones anyway, have proven their dishonesty and incompetence.  I was just pointing out that anyone who accepts their word, for ANYTHING, is an idiot.

Because that is what they always do. There will actually be a message in the server you are playing on and it will give a 10 mo Ute warning of when servers are going down. How new are you?

plus the whole atleast 2 years crap was pretty stupid.

I can be called a lot of things, but "new" ain't one of them.  Besides, I enjoy stating the obvious, and occasionally poking the bear.

devs said first half of july, so anytime between july 1 and july 15. I totally empathize with you on the wife thing, I was married for 6 terrible months like 20 years ago, I still have nightmares about that one.

They said between July 1 and July 15, but what year?

Just because they gave a date, you would be an idiot if you took them at their word.  The word of a Dev, any Dev from any Game, is worthless.

  7. It has been my experience that a the return of the Dev team after a long absence, followed by the reduction in size of the game world is a good indication of the imminent demise of the game.

Lets see if History does repeat itself.

Ok. Incoming stupid question... Does "Bringing a new World Map online will require a complete reset of the system" mean that all servers will be wiped?

I've been playing around on Xbox SP for the past couple of months and jumped in solo on PVE EU on the weekend. I've got a foothold with some space around me on a small island on lawless B6. Wondering if it's worth carrying on if they're going to wipe the server next month.

    Thanks

Unless you want to test some aspect of the game mechanics, you might as well stop playing now.  All servers will be wiped in a few weeks, and the NA PvE server will be removed completely.

Y'all know the Dev's are not going to read these post, or rather if they do they are not taking them into consideration. If they were there would be a way for the players that have put the time and effort into building not just their company but their players would have a way to at least keep some of the work that they have done.

True.  No dev of any game has ever listened to any player.  They just do what they always intended and if by some coincidence they do something that players have been asking for, they brown nose for some brownie points.
