  1. Got any proof of all those things? Personally Ive only witnessed people getting destroyed by Chinese in fair fights then start whining like youre doing.

If there is an actual hacker with proof then he should be banned but I wouldnt expect to be banned just because someone else from UK was caught hacking.

  2. I thought it would be good if people could share some of their best ship designs.

Here is my schooner. My main design goal was I wanted people to be able to move freely because one of the issues I've observed in PvP is people getting in the way of each other or being unable to reach the repair materials in the cupboards. Also the bed needs to be safe which is why I put it in its own raised compartment (its not like you need to get up there, only come down). I used large speed and small handling because large speed is 100% necessity and the small handling is a personal preference after we noticed a lot of cannon downtime in PvP when using 2 speed sails because of slow turning rate.

I have sailed through 6 grid squares and on every island I am told to go away. I have tried about 20 different islands and all are being unfriendly. I feel I have to restart on a PvE server just too experience the game. I have no idea how they are going to resolve this, to stop new players from feeling like not playing due to this big issue.

Do you even know what "PvP" means? Why would anybody give you anything for free?

  4. Totally disagree. The first half of what you listed already got fixed. The other bugs are like meh its literally just launched and constant updates, a few bugs expected. Ships of the damned are easy to avoid, easy to kill. Flotsams do need buffing but they are still useful to collect coins to recruit important NPCs. Losing your ship overnight does suck but then you realize tall stone walls are the meta and leaving your ship out in the open is dumb. Vitamins are dumb but not exactly difficult to maintain. Alphas can be a pain but itd be boring if every mob was easy. They give super XP so its not exactly something to be upset about.

I dont get why you would complain that its difficult when it's a freaking survival game. If you cant hack it solo then why not join a group?

  5. I can attest to how incredibly dumb ships can be. Days to build, seconds to sink. Needs 24/7 babysitting which is still not good enough.

This company has many players online, unfortunately they were in their base and not on their galleon. Oh well. RIP Galleon. It took us about 2 minutes to force sink it with a schooner. Would have been a matter of seconds if we just shot out a lower plank or 2 then sailed off if they were all asleep. This is why I havent bothered investing any time to make a big boat, whats the point when the chance of it surviving the night is extremely slim.

  6. Sailed across the map multiple times in schooners, sloops and brig. Ghost ships are not even an issue at all. Their aggro range is tiny and the green ones are easy to kill, the yellow ones are also not too difficult usually, red = run away. Its honestly very rare that you will be forced to fight one and if you have even 2 or 3 cannons you will probably win. Or sail away. Its only when you have no cannons and the wind is incredibly slow and you get really unlucky and somehow aggro one that you will be in trouble. That's such a rare occurrence. At this point I find it basically impossible to die to them. They are about as much of a threat as tornados which also dont do anything really.

  7. Finally met the Chinese BLDX company today when it sank a ton of boats. They didnt swarm, hack, ddos or grief or any of that nonsense they literally just outplayed a bad zerg guild hard and they knew how to handle their brig well with combat repairs and good use of NPC and a ton of cannonball supply. Saw the usual responses "omg cant stop chinese swarm" "need region lockk!" etc like they didnt just lose 8+ boats to one brig lol.

They probably playing with awful ping too and still outplayed zerg very hard.

  8. Yeah the devs are dumb, the game is full of bugs and the launch was the worst I've ever seen

but the game is still fun as fuck and all the crybabies who ragequit for whatever reason will never get to have as much fun as I had sinking a galleon and 3 brigs in a schooner today

  9. Anyone who doesnt think fire arrows are brokenly OP simply hasnt done enough PvP.

They are so multi purpose too. If someone lights up the deck of your sloop with a few fire arrows it will not only kill everyone onboard but also break the beds so that they cant respawn. You can kill sleeping people through walls with them. You can break doors and hatches with them. The funny part is when you light someone on fire and they run into the rest of their team then they are all on fire.

It is straight up dumb. Especially when firearms are so useless and will just ping off armor, why should bow and arrow be far superior? Literally just forces you to abandon ship if someone gets on your deck with fire arrows.

  10. I've sailed around a bunch and I can honestly say the whole "islands are copy pasted and just rotated" thing is a total nonsense.

Look at these 2 islands on the east side of the map. Obviously the shape of the island if you judge it by the map alone makes it look like a total copy paste job but if you actually go to the islands they don't even look remotely similar. You wouldn't be able to tell that the shape was the same if you didn't have a map showing you it because the whole topology and everything was completely different.

  11. its a fish eat fish game and the bigger fish will always win

sailing across the sea in a raft is obviously a pretty nooby move, I've not had any trouble avoiding ships of the damned in a sloop and I think youd be surprised how slow brigs can go sometimes when theyre weighed down with cannons so Id really recommend a sloop tbh

  12. This is one of the biggest things that I've seen people complain about in game. It's at the point where you just shouldn't even expect your ship to be there the next day, there's a 90% chance it won't survive the night if you're not there to babysit it. It's not hard to see why. Me and my friend went to the base of a big faction at about 5am yesterday and had a crappy little sloop with 2 swivel guns and we focus fired the lower plank on 2 schooners and sank them. It's WAY TOO EASY. Never mind if the players were asleep, I doubt they could have even responded in time if they were online since it was a big island. We had the worst ship and we could probably sink the best ship if we just focus fired planks and the enemy was sleeping.

I guess karma hit us back because our schooner on our main island surrounded by allies and ally boats was sunk the same night but then I realized weve never had a boat that lived a full day. I hope no one comes in here and recommends NPCs because they really don't cut the mustard. I flew from the top of our mast and shot an NPC on a cannon in the head because it wasnt even moving.

There needs to be a way to dock them or wall them in or give them SOMETHING that will allow them to survive the night.

  13. This thread was made before taking claim went from 1.5h to 30 mins. It's really not that difficult now. If you cant take over a territory from another clan and they are stronger than you then why do you think you deserve that land more than them? I do think its about time that some of the lawless starter zones stopped being starter zones, I thought that was an emergency measure to deal with the initial influx of players.

  14. I agree I wouldnt even stop at solo Id say it sucks for small teams. Every time some raft pulls up to our island from a lawless zone to try to make some territory and a base we just break their bed and kill them then capture the raft. Which can sometimes be like half a day of work for them and takes 1 minute for us. Then as soon as our base was wiped out (we were only a team of 8 at the time and a zerg of 50 attack us) we had the same experience where people would destroy all our progress every time we tried to venture out of the starter areas.

I've played a lot of games like this which are super punishing for casuals they tend to lose their playerbase really quickly.
