  1. Yeah. We did our treasure hunting yesterday, sail across the atlas, found THE place and right before we summoned army of damned the heatwave begun and got to 70'C. So we took our gliders, flew back to the ship. Put off all armor, and went to water.

    And we died there.

After heatwave is gone we finally made it to treasure : )

  2. As far I we could see - they actually do not camp the very border (it's even a safe route in a far travels) so If your client do a long loading after border cross - it might be a good idea to cross - along border with tiny angle.

But yet - we agree. There must NOT be any of encounters anywhere near borders (especially right now with unstable client).

There must not be THAT MUCH of SoD everywhere. Especially with low population areas - we recently transit thru .1 and .15 zones and there were like 50 or 60 SoD we had to avoid in just one zone. My bro laugh: "After that game you'll be able to play Pacman in hellish difficulty!"

  3. Has anyone run into this, I know they only have a 2 day decay timer in lawless as opposed to most things being 4 days, but I was only away from it for an hour.

It's just a bug but decay timer for lighthouses DO NOT WORK in lawless. So any1 can demolish it right after U build it (our neighbors mentioned that after we built seccond one : ))

  4. It's a bit difficult to live in the tundra

Not at all actually. Because we have our base right there! : ))

    fS9RSXT.jpg

But the ARCTIC (we fully transit thru .1 and .15 zones) - if farther then TUNDRA. There are alot of ghostships chasing around. There are small and mountainous terrain (as far as I could see). It's way far from southern region with resourses (with saps specialy which is necessary to live in northern territory). So I do really enjoying to live in TUNDRA but ARCTIC. It's much worse.

p.s. - I was on my sail back to base and after crosing my region's border chat:

    - Home sweet home!

And one of my neighbor reacted:

    - Not that sweet.

    I asked:

    - Why not?

    And he like:

    - I would name a 10 reasons but you know them all : ))

  5. Lighthouses now have a bug in lawless - even if it sais "decay demolish in 02:00:00:00" anyone can demolish it anytime. We lost one recently - and then our neighbors just run by and pointed our attention so it's able to be demolished by them (they do not do it. We building there a respectful and friendly region).

Because you’re living in lawless, where permanent residence was never the intention.

I was always wondering - WHY? I mean I see a lot of people building their bases there. There are two huge castles in a shore, small shore town and two forests towns in our lawless island. And we all fells really fine. We even warn eachother about alphas and help to kill them. We there for a couple of weeks and... yet I keep reading on forums so lawless are not for living.

p.s. - We did our treasure hunt today and for the first time ever - crossed northern border of a map. While we sailed thru arctic we saw the same picture. Even THERE ALL LAND IS CLAIMED! The picture is sad - 5ppl online on server. And all land covered by in flags! : ))

  6. We play duo (me and my bro).

We have our Brig with 4ppl full-time NPC crew (sometimes we take 2 of them into our Schooners when we go hunting resourses).

So first I thought - that's the hell alot of money they take. But... well. We do one big treasure hunting in a 2-3 days for gold (we can do like 10-15 lvl treasure. Our record is lvl 22.1. Chest that high lvl usually located half atlas far from our base). And... well. When we hired a crew there were about 1500 gold in our resourse box. Right now it's about 6000 gold.

So it turned out they really don't take that much (around 100 gold for a real life night).

And If I would play solo... I mean I can easily complete a treasure hunt up for lvl-5 (and I do it with just a spear. So If you will be well armed - you'll fell better). The treasure this low usually located in a region you found a bottle or just one square far. It can contain like 150-200 gold each. So U can treasure hunt for a small chests and with 2-3 chest get around 450-600 gold. It wont take a long  and will be enough to keep 4ppl crew on duty for next 2-3 days).

A-a-a-a-and. Yet they do all maintenance work to the anchored ship. While sailing they do not repair it.

(And yeah. We carry 4 extra planks and extra steering wheal with us all time).

p.s. - The biggest problem here is actually gold weight. It took us whole in-game day to get from treasure chest to a ship. We had like 1600 gold each and it weigh 640!!! Far beyond our maximum weight we can carry : ))

    p.p.s. - And yeah. For example - this weekend is x2 gold : ))

    • Thanks 1

  7. It's like U play full of youth girl/boy for a few days.

Then for a next few days you are mature woman or man.

And then for a couple of weeks you play as old grandfather/grandmother falling apart.

With muscular body, perfect posture, carry all weight and fight as young one, but yet whit old wrinkled face - this is double as weirs IMAO : )) So I would feel much happier if they remove this aging system. I don't like it.

  8. Well we have opposite problem : )

We settled in Tundra. We have our base and because of this region we had to build a PIER (sometimes you have to avoid water here).

There are a lot of players try to go and settle here too, but arrive totally unprepared. They go ashore, dies really fast couple times (it's like while you go from your bed to corpse you already half of health due to cold). And then they respawn at freeport.

And their rafts are just stays in a shore like forever. We've got two around our base and one guy just sailed to our port, parked raft right in the middle of our departure route (shown with green arrow) died couple of times and we never saw him again.

    Raft is still here.

My bro just tried to sink it and died because of floating raft glitch. After he respawned, his corpse flied away to the skies so he lost all his stuff he was creating for a weeks.

Yet we unable to use our closest pier anymore.

    iksZX5V.jpg

We once saw a guy came to us on a raft WITHOUT BED : ) It's also still there (just a little farther).

  9. Today I was at J3 (EU PVE) to farm Chitin (the only place I know to farm this - from giant ants. They really rare spawn). While I've been there it was a real torture! I anchored as close to the shore as it possible, put a crew to a swivel gun attached to my ship and then...

    - I lure 3 lions to my ship.

    - Then giant snake come out.

    - Then 7 wolves (i'm not joking).

    - Then another giant snake and 2 crocs (they all btw best friends to each other).

And only then all looks clear around, I was able to go search for those rarest giant ants. After 10 sec of walking I encountered another croc and 3 giant snakes. I made for about 150 projectiles and before departure there are 30 left - I needed just 10 Ants for resourses and with them I lured and my crewmate shoot for like 70-80 wild animals.

I saw plenty structures there and wondered - how the hell players live here? (I didn't see any players anyway).

  10. It's really weird because sometimes I able to kill lvl-17 wolf with my spear. And sometimes barely take out half of lvl-1 wolf's health with a gunshoot and mele.

    Those levels works really strange.

And yet - we do kill alphas by using game mechanic. Here is our base:

    7GN2co0.jpg

As you can see - all houses and territory covered by foundations and railing fences. When any aggressive animals attack, all we need to do is to get behind railing, and then they just stuck at one railing they choice and start they selflessly battle with fence. They do damage to wooden structures while we can damage animals thru it. We set up few guns and ballistas to speed up the killing and feels just fine.

Alpha hit 15 dmg to wooden structure, so it's plenty of time to kill it even with spear.

p.s. - when you stuck in lion's mouth - you just need to hit it with your hand to release. It's yet another game mechanics.

  11. Couple advanced tips I recently discovered:

    - You can craft a wall hook and attach it to almost any surface. It has 1 slot inventory and you can put there a torch or a lantern and then light it up. Tip here is simple, you can attach those hooks with a torches/lanterns to your ship (even to the very top of masts or bottom of your boat) and then all you need to do is use "steering wheel" and wile using it - press "O" by default controls. This will control all lights you attached to your ship. Press "O" to turn them on (some times you need to press it twice), press "O" again will turn lights off.

    BEomhkF.jpg

I wish there would be a way to do the same with your base streetlights.

    - If you find valuable resources and overload your pathfinder - there is a way to speed him up a bit. Just use a spear, hit the LMB once to enter combat mode and then use tertiary attack (it's mouse scroll up by default). This is charge attack and it works fine with any weight you carry. Just don't forget to walk from time to time to regain stamina and then do series of charges again (don't charge in to a bear or rhino tho : ))

  12. Use a dye to a brush (or this spray tool). Then hit lighthouse with it (no need to climb up just hit bottom of lighthouse).

1st region of painting is the color of you upper wood plank and light color also. Be aware. In some cases light is toooooo vivid : )) Orange is pretty fine:

    apz7ULV.jpg

P.S. - there is light beams spreading from light on a top. And only two beams will be painted all others will be white,
