  1. Your sloop was overweighted by douchebags. Too much crew does not sink it
  2. How exactly is your ship safe from being overweighted on PVE? Answer, it isn't. Sinking a ship with no players on it is not PvP, it's PVE. There are no players present, ergo it isn't PvP, is it? My ship gets sunk in battle, fair play. Nobody is complaining of this. I already played until gone 12, you expect me to stay up until 4am to sail my ship back home and never explore the map beyond the one lawless zone I have managed to establish something on one zone away from my starting FP?
  3. It's not even safe for 5 minutes chap, bunch of "ends" going around using an exploit to overweight your boat and insta sink it.
  4. Why even have it that a ship sinks when overweight? It already can't move when heavy. Partial fix suggestion, anchored ships do not take damage from being overweight. Additionally one of the players using this exploit was called Micro Boy
  5. Honestly man.... I don't really blame you. Dev's pull your fingers out... as it stands I think I'm pretty much done. Went on a little journey with my mates, a little journey across a few zones. That's all my mates playtime as this takes a few hours. Get to a freeport 30 mins after one has to log, it's gone midnight already (I'm an old fella, one of my mates can only play after 9:30 after he's got his kids to bed and infrequently). I certainly can't sail back to my base (in a fricking lawless zone cause hell knows finding even a tiny parcel of land elsewhere is probably going to be impossible), I can't leave my ship in any other zone as being on PvP it, and we, wont be there in the morning. So, I have to park it in a freeport and set my alarm for the middle of the night (like a right sad git) because the ship wil need repairing so it is sure not to sink from the super decay in FP zones and plan to sail back in the morning. I log on at 7:30 in the morning, swim to shore to get a bit of food. Within 5 minutes I get a popup saying my ship has been sunk, rush back to see 2 players from "Bad Company" picking up the megre pickings from my ship (essentially nothing of any value) apparently just to be tosspots. Oh, also it's my birthday today and I'd planned to do a bit of self indulgent playing. Really don't have the heart for it now. Happy birthday to me eh? *fweep*
  6. Yes, I think if the company was stripped of thier land and assets and dropped into FP's across the map back at level one (for instance) people would soon learn. Then companies would learn to vet thier members. I don't actually think it'll happen in any way, shape or form of course. This would be in addtion to a mechanics fix. If you want to clean your house, both are required. It's pretty sad I can't leave my ship for 2 minutes without this happening in a freeport. May not seem like much to you, but to me that little ship I'd leveled into the mid 20's represented me and my RL mates who can only play for 2-3 hours a week actually doing something. They don't do any resource gathering, just log on for a little bit, sail around on a small ship and pretend to be a pirate. I've already witnessed a number of small group players give up and leave the game because of this sort of thing. Honestly, I can even understand guilds engaged in a dirty war doing this. At least it is to some end. I'm not entirely sure what a player gains by sinking a little sloop off the shore of a FP. A bit of wood, thatch and fiber? You know what I often spent my time doing on my little ship? Rescuing people stuck in a loop spawning in the middle of the sea, ferrying them to land and talking like a pirate at them to give em a bit of a laugh. It's not like I can even report a player for exploiting.
  7. Frankly, the way to fix it is to punish the players. I am guessing nothing will be done.
  8. Just a solo player primarily (have a couple of RL mates who have a couple hours playtime a week max), just caught two players from Bad Company (EU PVP Whale's Wrath) sink my little sloop for no apparent reason in a freeport using weight exploit. Do you actually do anything about this stuff?
