  1. this is so needed on even a basic implementation. Something has to be done to allow organized parking rather than holding A or D until your ship slowly turns in place enough for it to be out of the way of other ships and still be able to get itself out. This is a perfect idea for player created 'docking' and I truly hope @Jatheish sees this!

Second: Put claims that are being stolen from us and claims we are stealing or that are in progress on the map.

This is just a quality of life thing. Add another color circle (yellow?) on the map for claims of ours that are being taken and claims we are taking. Perhaps even make these two different colors on the map.

Yellow for when your claims are being taken, and blue for where you're putting claims, just as the circles on the ground are now. I completely agree with this post, would be a massive QOL improvement.

    sup for reverting!!!!

with this it is nearby impossible to maneuver in an build harbour. With 0% you could turn without moving, no you god damn ram everything while turning around.

lower your sails and you don't move... but I still agree for this revert. Keep the other sail changes, but this? Too arcade like for my liking... at the very least reduce it to something like 10% We can get where we need to perfectly fine by tacking. I'm not going to claim everything in the game is realistic, obviously things need to be balanced for game play, but this is too unrealistic.

it should be noted that unpurified sea salt contains many other things than just salt. calcium as well as other organic compounds and organisms. mostly harmless but if you are sourcing your sea salt from contaminated waters you also get those contaminants in your finished product.

I'm not too keen on the science of it, but doesn't distilling the water prevent that? Just capturing the boiled off steam to run it to the side and condense it back to water?

  5. Or, depending on how difficult this is, have the trade building itself, and have it "link" to nearby storage chests. It would draw/deposit from those chests that you hopefully have protected nearby. This way on PvP the stand itself can be destroyed without the loss of trading material. Defenders have to protect their chests as usual, and attackers have an easy way to stop their trading. On PvE this mechanic won't really affect much as far as I can think of though.

  6. Agreed, they need to be a rare sight. They make any kind of traveling absurdly hard. Managing wind, storms, and of course SotD not caring about either. Seriously, 4-5 per tile, I tried going north and ran into a literal wall of SotD that I couldn't punch through without agroing more than 1 at a time... and with several reds in the mix I just turned my ship around.

  7. Wouldn't it be nice if you could load up some extra resources into a building and people could stop by and trade gold for your extra mats at a price you set? Gold can just be the starting point, but you could eventually set it to request other materials as payment. This would making trading safe too, as you wouldn't need to drop items on the ground where other players could steal it. Another benefit is you won't even have to be there to trade! You could be out sailing and someone stops by to trade, convenient.
