  1. I also agree about the discovery points. I could honestly survive if i lost the ones for the power stones and whales, but if i have to sail to all those islands again, find the points again and sneak into bases again I think i will end up being stuck at a low level.... I do not see why the discovery points need to be reset. Alsp now there are more discovery points than there is for max level, is the level gonna increase or will the amount of points needed per level increase....

  2. Also weoght on a boat affects the speed on the boat, so the higher the weight the faster the boat.

If a boat is at 10% of its weight, it will travel at 90% of its maximum speed. So lets use a brig thats at 7500/15000 weight and a brig at 10000/20000 weight. They will both go at the same speed even though one is carrying 2.5k more. But if the second brig was carrying the same 7500 weight it would become faster. My battle brig is at 20k weight and fully armed etc it reaches just over 10.5k weight. So its pretty fast.

  3. Chances are the discovery points are on a table, so they would only be adding to them.

In all honesty i think that the suggestion to keep the discovery points is a very simple and a welcome thing. Even if it was only the discovery points from landfall and exploration and require you to once again kill whales and do powerstones that would be ok because it doesn't take a fee hundred hours to do those. But sailing from A to B and all the way through to Z multiple times after already having done it would be a killer. Starting at level 1 and having to earn the exp to get up would be completely fine by me. Getting boats etc and evedything else are relatively easy, but sailing is not especially when hostiles like to block you from doing that.

Also to your point. A lot of players will come back because of this. All my friends that quit are really excited about the wipe and are planning on coming back. So there’s 2 sides to the coin.

I agree about some people coming back, but I reckon a lot of those people who have left before will probably leave again.

  5. I honestly dont see the point in 10x either, a large portiom of people will probably stop playing. Which means you might end up being one of the only people sailing on a server versus people who are either doing the same and missing you or people like me who would just spend it building new things to test it out. Which us what I do already.

Came to pretty much the same conclusion. Low levels not worth the ammo expense.

Actually low level ones are usually the best for smaller groups, wifh the possibility of getting fines that seem to go up to 130% versus the horrifying masterworks makes the fines seem very good.

In all honesty I shoot all ships of the dammed, and there is never enough, recently even the power stone areas have none or almost none making it quite frustrating as I would ideally love a mastercraft or legendary blueprint which is actually good. I think my best was a journeyman medium cannon with just under 160% damage.

Blueprints are just an extra grind for up to like 30% stats boost...wooo.... The ships sink in 1-2 salvos

I assume you havnt seen the legendary galleon in EU PVP with over 60k HP per plank then.... to put that into perspective thats over 400%, not 30%. Will take a lot more than 1 or 2 salvos for that.... and thats only for legendary, mythical could be even higher. So far the best I have gotten is a 200% which I could get up to about 250% if i get a semi decent roll on the crafts.

But to get those sort of blueprints you literally need to be killing thousands of ships of the damned.

it does make a difference im lvl 64 now, i have put all points into int to craft bps. the highest i have seen is +9%crafting bonus and that seems rare to get. i can get +6% crafting pretty easy +8%not so commonly.

At level 64 you should have about 364% int right? You should be able to get up to 12-14 or somewhere in that range. Try to look for gear that says Intelligence x10%. Obviously replace the 10 with whatever it says. If you do get one though with that 10% you wil get an additional 36.4% intelligence which is nice. If you get 5 pieces like that then your looking at nearly 200% added on top.

I craftet epic bows yesterday. First without a int buff = 160% dmg like in the bp.

Then I had a crow on my shoulder and crafted 4 more bows with a bonus between 0.4...0.9% because of intelligence.

Best bow with 163,9% by 0,9% int bonus. Upgraded to Max (lvl6) and I get around 174% dmg now. Deals with a regular shot 66dmg. Not bad for a cheap bow 😉

If your base intelligence is low then the ceiling for bonus will be low as well sadly, even with a crow it would still not be worth it. I have over 500% and so far the highest I have seen is 19.8%. About 700 should give you +30% bonus.

Just to let you know unless you ha e like a level 80 crow diving into water for a dolphin buff is better as it gives you 50 int versus the crows level based int.

  10. Sadly i am the opposite, i hardly find any now and I have bee  hunting them in the power stone areas. Sadly not a single one in ages. If i am lucky i find one though thats low level which sucks.

  11. Ok so everyone here seems to have different opinions etc. Below is actual fact etc.

    1. Intelligence only affects crafts made from a blueprint.

    2. Intelligence does NOT affect the upgrades as the values for the upgrades are a % of the base value. Example would be that I bave near 500 with my gear on, and my friend has the base 100 and the upgrade is the same value.

    3. The value of intelligence is lost on lower stat blueprints, for instance i get up to about 20% crafter bonus when i craft. If i were to use that on a 105% common carbine the gain will be very small but if i were to craft my 168% and get 20% crafter bonus then the amount will be far larger

    4. Intelligence only increases the higher end of the crafts, sadly you can still get 0.0% bonus.

    5. Items that can stack can be used to reroll stats snd once your happy with one you keep it in the crafting station/inventory and any after thag will be exactly the same.

    6. You can use crafting gear to recraft/upgrade the same crafting gear multiple times to try and get better crafts. Example would be craft some good gloves and if you roll high, upgrade them and continue to craft the same gloves over and over. Get better ones and uograde those, so on so forth.

If you need any clarification or help please let me know.

  12. I definently think that a cow/bull etc should be able to pull a heavily laden cart to help transport materials for trade etc further inland.

Seagulls would be great if they could fly around your boat and alert you to shipwrecks in your area, as well as land.

Crow would be interesting if it had an additional perk to maybe find odd shiny objects or detect objects you could gather with a shovel.

The biggest thing i would like fixed is when a creature enters your boat they sometimes get stuck in a falling animation which requjres me to usually break apart half my boat or risk teleporting it onto another boat which can cause them to insta die or fly into the sky.
