    This problem only concerns the tames on ships. The ones on land are reset fine when rendered. Just take them off your ships (at least every 7 days) until its fixed. They are aware and looking into it.

    Thanks, i was sure i read that in the patch notes at some point, but couldn't find it anywhere in-game. So im not blind 😛


  3. If you are a bit creative this opens the door again for some very interesting ways to annoy your fellow players. It is probably important for a lot of PvE players to be bale to have other people on your ship (would also help with the playerbase problem, Kraken etc) or i guess for roleplaying purposes. But we need more control than just "kicking" players of with a menu option.

    As for NPC, does giving it a job actually refresh the timer, so you don't have to move it to land?

    It seems to be enough to assign them to a job, didn't have time for further testing, but i guess putting them on a chair will also do the trick. So far i made sure none of them are on deck.

    I know for a fact that some of the animals that was stolen have been picked up within 2-3 days by myself and all of them was within render range. They where all on my ship.

    Other animals i have on my ship was not stolen like giraffe, elephant and bears.

    2 of the birds stolen was inside a locked cage.

    If you didn't take them off the ship it didnt reset the timer. We tested it, render range doesn't do anything on ships, it only resets if you take them off the ship and back. The birds prolly clipped through the cage and were below.

    Same goes for crew that currenlty doesnt have a "job".. You can claim the ones that spent some time sweeping the decks...

  7. I can tell you what it probably wont be. They wont fix their abysmal buggy "endgame content", they wont fix the bugs that ruin the game and make it pretty much unplayable. 

    We probably will get new skins and tames, content gated behind the unfixed "endgame content" and maybe some buggy new op tech crap no one asked for.

    EA or not, they should try to sort the Kraken/Powerstones before they keep adding new "content". But i guess its a lot less of an annoyance if you use the console for everything and dont really play the game anyway.  


  8. Another rather useless addition this game didnt need. Would have made more sense to have it as a passive collector while sailing (you know, like these nets actually work). Makes you wonder if the developers ever looked up how any of those things are supposed to work. Then again, they made Mantas vicious beasts.

    I have seen others on here say way worse things than I ever would. You included. Don’t attempt to even come close to being an innocent part here.

    you guys are useless as far as the development process goes. You ridicule anyone that has any problem or issue with the game. You guys are the reason we will soon be at ore wipe numbers and that is very soon.

     

    I have seen EA been misinterpreted a lot on these forums, but this one takes the cake. It definitely isn't a platform for whines of someone who might at some point maybe buy the game. If testing is our "job" according to you... buy the game or get out of this forum.

    So far i had ice act like salt, act like nothing was in, and only in one case it actually worked as intended.. but only on some of the food in the bag...

    Thanks to all that participated in taking down the kraken 1.0. everyone did a great job during the fight and before the fight even tho we meet some hick up before the fight with people spawning in the 2.0 kraken. i appriciate all you guys who backed out of the fight for reset and for being patient and waiting. i know some of you did not get to participate due to death and starvation and stuff like that. so i would like do this another day aswell to help the guys who diden't make it this time. 

    i will post in the forum and discords when i do the kraken again and hope to see many of you who diden't get it this time.

    Thanks for organizing it 🙂 Sadly i got kicked and clipped out of the boat at the start (and shot into the sky), so i didnt get it. Id be happy to join in on the next one, ill keep an eye on the forum.

  14. There is a big difference between wipes that are needed (corrupt data, bugs etc) or just bad, unorganized development of a rushed game. If they would wipe every 2-3 months when they finally caught up with the island models and get ridd of the copy n paste part we have now, that would be a different story. And so far i expect them to do that.
