  1. The whole system is crap... I had at least half the treasures walled in or built over with foundations. The second one is even more annoying because the mobs spawn and you can kill them, but not dig the stupid treasure up. Not to mention the ones that bug because one of the mobs decides not to pop up again for whatever reasons so you have to start over.

Yeah, each day I care less about this game and am starting to play other games.

Ever few days I'll come back and see if they have their sh*t together and I see more delays.

I wish I could ask for my money back.  This isn't early access, this is pay to beta test.  Just awful.

Yes, the game lost its momentum. I played it a lot, way too much to be fair. Looking at it now it had way too many bugs and problems and i had to spend way too much time with maintenance. A bit like waking up next to a very ugly person after a long drunken night out. Time to sneak out 😉

PVE will be wipped for it..muhahaha

Yeah i guess the 2 people left will be less of an issue than the 10+ left on PvP 😉

It is however a bit scary that they dont seem to have the resources to run the current setup plus a PTR. Especially since its prolly the same virtual setup at Nitrado..

Not sure how you can say that’s the point and then make a statement which directly contradicts the point. An FPS game with zero players is still an FPS type game. An MMO with no players is still an MMO, it’s just a failed one.

The first one was sarcastic, the second one wasnt. Atlas doesnt support large amounts of players on their servers. Just because the Servers say 150 doesnt mean it can host that amount. They buckle with 20+ or earlier. 20 Players on one part of a map is less than old shooters, hell Doom could do more. So yeah, if the game cant handle a large amount it shouldnt be called an MMO.

My comment is about the technical limitations of Atlas, not the amount of people that play it currently. And if we would go by that we should call Atlas an "up to 4 Players Coop" game anyway.

MMO is a genre designation like FPS or simulator. The number of players per sever speaks to the game’s success or failure but not whether it is considered an MMO for design and genre purposes, which is the context here.  Atlas is an MMO by virtue of the fact it is designed with massive numbers of players in a same game world in mind. The fact such numbers are not present doesn’t change this.

Yeah and thats the point. Atlas cant handle anything that comes even close to be MMO worthy. Not sure it counts to have a massive amount of players that quit.

  6. Yeah sorry, but im not interested in the PvP part of the game. If you ever manage to sort the current meta and the hacking and console abuse we can talk again. Up until then its PvE or a different game for me, and the longer it takes the Devs to deliver, the lower the chances ill even bother.

This is false information. This game was never intended as a ‘ARK DLC’ because that would’ve been impossible to make because of the dino’s overload. You can’t have massive bases full with kibble farms and dino’s, and have the greatness of ATLAS’ map. That’s what the statement was by Wildcard I’m just repeating it. But let’s get the whole ‘ARK DLC’ out of the way.

That makes the big emphasis on tames even harder to understand. But hey, thanks for clearing that up.r

  8. Grievers are happy about raid windows too. Its not like they looking for a fair fight. Im just amazed to see how far the Devs are from reality. Wouldnt hurt them to play their own game once in a while. Then they wouldnt overestimate the "returning" playerbase so drastically.

funny how some randoms always know what other people will do or no

While it clearly is over exaggerated the general meassage isnt that far off. We are talking wipe, so this is about the official servers only. If you take the playerbase of the last month before the wipe announcement and substract the pure maintenance loggers you get a pretty small actual playerbase. So far no one of my company, friends list and the people that settled around our region on the official EU PvE Server see any reason to go on if they plan further wipes. Lets be honest, there isnt much to this game other than building in PvE.

So you can take an educated guess that at least the PvE part of the game will be screwed if they go on like this. And the PvP part got his own set of problems. Good luck if you think they will ever sort the Chinese problem or get a grip on the hacking issues. Give it a few months and you will all pay taxes to your new chinese feudal lords.

It's like you Chicken Littles have never played an Early Access title before.  Children, regardless of your physical age, have no patience these days.

Not everyone is eating up every crap you get fed under the banner of "early access". There are plenty of EA titles out there who managed just fine. You dont constantly wipe a grindy MMO that has progression/building parts, period. If you have to, you make it clear, and you ease one the grindy parts.

Also, most games are EA nowadays, a cheesy way of skipping expensive testing and financing the game thats still in early development.
