Well I have added a Steam library while it was updating before, never had an issue.

Just add the steam library to your other disk. It will download there then put it back to C.

I have seen it do that when its nearly full as well, like its sorting files to find enough free space. Or if you have Steam on two drives as well.

I wonder how many people complained that this was too much like a certain game in the beginning but now its just fine to make it like another game because they want it.

 I was playing few alpha starts (most recent Albion Online with 50k+ online at start and indie,noobs devs)... and I can say we have a complete amateurs here. It's a shame. Could have a nice game.

in the history of gaming have you ever heard of a beta being referred to a launch 
no you haven't 

early access is commonly know as a full release of a game just early access to that release and NOT a beta version fanboys like yourself only hurt games like this letting them think they can get away with misleading customers
