  1. did u read what i wrote , i am a 2 player company my ally is solo , he recently killed and fleet of high lvl and got mythical shipyard and tons of high lvl crew solo , 

     

    2 man company take 2 ships one ship kites the sotd and destoys then the other one picks up the loot , 

     

    why is it so many players cannot think outside the box and have to have everything handed to them , why are they always quoting only for big groups ....


  2. i and my ally both manage fine and still collect the rewards , both in crew and bp , he recently built a mythical shipyard from sotd bp , so to say they are not worth the time is not really true , dont farm them for gold farm them for the bp and crew ..... 

     

    if u have other players in your company take 2 ships when farming sotd , we all know they come in fleets now so adjust your tactics to suit ,not everything has to be easy mode and handed to us on silver platters


  3. not about the gold when hunting sotd , u hunt them for ship blueprints , cannons , balistas , planks higher level crew etc , treasure maps are for main gold income , player need to stop whining about the sotd and hunt them for the what they actually give

    We have ran the kraken a few times already and all are welcome to come. Need to have discord and a boat that can do some kind of damage. We have people meet up at our island on I-7 (The Lotus island) then we sail out together. We are a NA tribe on EU-PvE so our times are a little weird for some EU players. I am figuring out when our next run will be because now with 2 difficulties I have to balance 2 different runs. I am leaning towards a Friday 1.0 with a Saturday 2.0

    Can anyone explain how the PvE claiming systems works after the mega update? My company and another company are both trying to claim the same island. We are both contesting each other and neither timer on the flag seems to be counting down. We keep getting messages every 10 20 seconds stating that we are contesting or the other company is contesting our claim. Will we essential just be stuck in the epic battle of endurance until someone gives up? Is there an inactivity timer?

    who ever doesnt give up , bearing in mind u will lose your gold if u give up

    this although there are large companies by far the greatest amount of players are the solos and smaller companies , if the devs continually cater to the large companies ,,this game wont go anywhere , there just isn't enough content for smaller companies ,

     

    stop catering to the large companies for the next few patches start adding solo / small company content and dungeons etc and see what happens to your player base i can assure it will most certainly grow,stop locking content behind large group content ,sort out the ruins so that even smaller companies and solo players with a bit of skill and effort can go to these areas and actually get the power stones, add alternative ways to get them , add other ways to unlock the submarines and any other end game content u have planned ,

    this isn't an mmo like wow where have systems in place to search for groups so stop for a minute and think, if you are not going to change the content to suit solo ./ small companies how about sitting down and think about adding systems into the game that allow these smaller groups to find others easier ., provate im game messages , player searches etc etc start adding all the communication systems that a mmo is supposed to have 

    stop trying to use your old and dated ark foundation for this game think outside the box and actually start making this game what u advertised it as a giant MMo that caters to all group sizes , there isn't another mmo on the market that excludes the solo / small companies and caters to the bloated large companies as much as you have

    fog of war would in fact would reduce the  lag as there would be nothing to display until u reveal it ,

     

    also source or dont spread false rumors ....

    cant include ships as structures that block building , i can only imagine the greifing going on , even with short decay all players would do is fast travel to them every day to refresh , wont work in any shape or form

    Even putting in limits on flags.  In a very short time the servers would be right back to where they started with entire islands being completely claimed and locked with everyone setting the flags to Company build only, because it's the easier to do that then it is to trust someone to not wreck what they view as "theirs".

    And people by nature are greedy, if every player is given 5 flags then they every player will place 5 flags ... even if all they ever build is a 3x3 shack on the first one and have no use for the other 4.

    so instead we all spam foundations everywhere to block off areas , , at least with the claim flags the area looked clean , the limit to flags was the best way forward not this system that just promotes foundation / pillar spam ...

     

    dont think you have really though about the way the 2 systems worked , teh limitto flags to say 5 was ideal perfect amount to build a good base and still have 1 or 2 left for outposts at other areas ....

    You get me wrong :), i dont complain of lack of gold (we have in bank gold for taxes on next few months, making maps 1,8 k gold 10 -15 per day 🙂 it just boring in long term ) i complain for low profit from diving and hunting SotDs its disapointing for me spend few hours for build galleon next few hours for colecting mats for guns and ammo, use 60% supply on few minutes sea battles and make so low profit, wher is fun of it?

    PS We prefer Tigers for maps 🙂 They can jump to place where Bear cannot go 🙂

    game is still in development be patient more content to come

    how are u dying to sharks when diving for wreck use a diving suit ......

    we live in H7 post and pre wipe. We HAD plently of wildlife on our island, including alphas for that extra challenge (alpha crocs are pretty strong tho). Now we have to run the entire island which takes like 10 minutes to find like 10 animals to kill and loot. Alphas are completly gone and it feels like an actual desert now. Not liking these changes, they seems to radical.

    this, i personally like the challenge of having to watch out for the agressive wildlife but now having to circle the entire island to find the odd one or two that may or may not have spawned is imo a nerf too far ,

    u dont know what end game they have planned it may need large companys to do them ,

    , leave the large islands as they are , no small company should have the option to own any of the 69-122 point islands , u want them merge into larger company and take one ,

    From my ark sever hosting experience you can individually set spawn rates per mob type. 

    unfortuntaly i set up in desert region , used to have wolfs and cobras ,crocs a plenty , now the only wolfs i see are dead ones as the giraffes and rhinos massivly outweigh the wolfs both in lvls and numbers cobras crocs are a rare sight , i have seen 3 wolfs since release 1 i killed, 2 already dead from other wild life all very low lvl ,this was caused by the original nerf where players called for aggro range reduction and the devs just nerfed the spawns rate as well as aggro range , now players saying too much wild life clumped up now we are lucky to see 1/4 of what we once had both agressive and non agressive , 

     

    if the devs want to have pve players with nothing to do but farm and build , with little to no danger in the open world then say so and just remove all wildlife and give us x amount of resources daily as it what the game feels like to me ,just walkign about with very little sense of danger wondering what's going to pop out of the bushes to attack.

     

    yes there will always be those that post but we see hundreds of this and that its dangerous blah blah ,but the majority of areas are a snooze fest no danger at all when farming or sailing , i really hope the devs end game vision includes some sort of dangers in the open world they have made , 


  16. more settlers more time between gold upkeep , its to your benefit , atbo this post reeks of i didnt want anyone else on the island i claimed and paying for but i digress, the whole point of this recent change was to allow anyone to build, to allow plenty of land for any player no matter when they started to play to build on , anywhere anytime they want , hopefully without too much interference from the island owners , 


  17. g4 glendale hardly any aggressive wildlife full of mainly giraffes , rhinos ostridge and turtles .Snakes, wolfs ,scorpions few and far between , almost every wolf ive seen is dead killed by giraffes and usally only a low lvl wolf , 

    g5 top left small island full of birds no land animals at all this was at 8pm uk time last night , second island more birds than land animals possibly due to being a bigger island and not all land wildlife had been killed for meat / leather / etc ..this morning ran around the entire island ,1 elephant , 2 rhinos and an ostridge , tons of birds flying about ..

    i have noticed a larger than pre wipe amount of birds flying about , is this part of the problem , the flying wild life spawn are filling up where land based should be ? just an observation , from pre wipe to this patch .some islands may have more as the aggressive spawns are possibly more native to them and set up that way , but certainly the region im in and surrounding grids dont have anything much to be a worry when out farming . which is a massive and i mean massive difference from the early days when i had to be watchful when out farming as wolfs / scorpions , cobras were a plenty , now its just a snooze fest when out and about ,

     

    and before all the usual player turn up with their couple of screenshots of huge amounts of aggressive spawn , we all have those ,silly amounts from the early days that just clumped up in areas , this isnt about that its about the recent changes to spawns has definatly broken something, 

     

    tldr: far more birds seem to be spawning even getting 2+ every few hours inside my ships, not many ground based animals compared to pre nerf .

    start demoing their stuff and if they are that way inclined good luck keeping the island clear of spam as they will more than likely just spam the crap out of the island so u cant keep up with keeping it clear , so be careful what u do ,

    yes or players would just game the system , the limits have to be there to stop what happened before , or tons of players would place flags and just merge , 

     

    if u want to merge u need to decide which flags u remove to allow for succesful merge , flag amount per company woul dneed to be steadily increased from a base amount until the sweet spot is found 

    from pre wipe a lot of flags placed were doing nothing but stopping other players building , they were not in any shape or form protecting rare resources ,they were placed because they could be , noone needed the space that even 20 flags would cover myself included i placed on one island at day 2 approx 14 flags the area covered was huge i will try to find a screenshot of the area i had  

     

    thing is i believe the devs wont change this system now , its here to stay which is a shame
