I have started 3 times over for nothing too now. I think the most painful part of it for me is drifting on a raft for 2-3 hours each time I set out:( only to wash ashore to people that are infinitely more established that you are! I managed to claim some land but that was short lived:/

I believe that if you die. You can choose your spawn location to be at the Freeport, from the spawning menu. You will loose your stuff though! Maybe stay where you are and build a ship building thing!

Would it be too much trouble to get to a lawless area? I havnt had the chance to play much yet but I spawned into a lawless zone and claiming of land was not even permitted. Im not sure how long it would take tot ravel by raft to a lawless zone - or maybe it is worth just spawning in one and trying to get a small land base built before trying to build your first boat?

Slow and steady I think is the way to go for now at least. Band together with some people, build up a bit, hide until you have some defensive abilities. These large companies going out claiming will be going through their own problems. They are casting the net wide but it will semi implode before they balance out. I’m basing this all from what I have seen from ark pvp. Even alphas are not alphas for ever!

I have played ARK for some time now but going to move over to This game. just sorting out the rig to play it. Im up for joining. can't seem to find a PM function on this site so thought I would just hit you up here! My rig should be ready in about 6hrs
