  1. This is a great community and a welcoming place for anyone. We encourage everyone to check us out and experience the server for themselves. The admins are very active in the development of their own mods for the server, this ultimately allows us the players to shape the future of the server any way possible, without the need to rely on other mod's. There are also weekly contests for everyone to join! With a 7x7 server, there's a lot of space for everyone to come and claim an island and make it their new home!

  2.

    Greetings!

Let me introduce you to a 7x7 PVE Server, already ranked in the top 20 (atlasserverlist), known as Disunity Survival!
    https://disunity.gg

Hosted on the East Coast in the US of A, Disunity Survival is a whitelisted only and professionally hosted PVE & PVP Atlas game server. That's right there's some PVP grids too!  They offer a friendly and mature (16+) community on a custom 7x7 map including all biomes, quests, events and custom mods.
They offer increased rates with 3x harvesting, ~5x breeding and 1.5x XP

This server is worth it.  It's how the admins weed out the bad apples from the group.  This community and discord is super friendly, active and very helpful!  Don't miss out on the opportunity for the Atlas experience you have been looking for, because you don't feel like filling out a 2 minute application!

    The 7x7 Map
The map features everything you need to fully enjoy the game. Along with all biomes, our world features high level creatures and is divided into different types of zones:

    • Freeport ~ Our central hub.

    • Golden Age Ruins ~ Areas for the Voyage of Power and Journey of the Gods quests.
    • Emerald Sea ~ Hard PVE zones with increased rates.
    • Red Sea ~ PVP zones with even higher rates.
    • Over 500 Island Discoveries

There is a lot of things planned for the future. Stay tuned!

    Custom Mods

  3. This is the router i'm currently using:

    Model No. TL-WR1043ND version 1

I can't seem to find anything NAT related in the settings, but I'm certain that this is my issue.  Just wondering if anyone would know how I can change the NAT loopback settings or perhaps tell me what I need to be looking for when purchasing a new router to make sure that any router I buy has these settings.

@Fervid If you'd like- we could take this to discord/teamviewer and I could help you look over your setup. Feel free to PM me, my inbox is open 🙂

btw, I found that file which stores the IP information from the last server you played on.. it's in ATLAS/ShooterGame/Saved and the file is named "LastServerConnectStringCache_[STEAMID]"

I don't have much time to do anymore troubleshooting tonight.  My Discord username is Fervid#1936, perhaps tomorrow we can reconnect and you are more than welcome to connect to my server and take a look.

This was the exact same issue I was having when attempting to connect through Steams "Servers" browser.  I was not able to direct-connect to my server in any way.

The only way I was able to connect was when it was visible in Atlas's server browser in the un-official section via double-clicking and entering my password on the map screen.

As of this moment, while I CAN connect through Atlas itself, I CANNOT connect via Steam's browser or a connection string.

Hmm.. I wonder if I can somehow edit the "rejoin atlas" saved IP information and change it to my LAN ip..  it must be saved somewhere locally.

I do appreciate the apology- it shows some good character on your part, and I can acknowledge the frustrations in troubleshooting- especially when there are very little resources to act on. We're all in the same boat just trying to help one another out.

Did you attempt Scruck's addition of multihome into the commandline?

Yes, I did try it with no visible change.  My new command line:

ShooterGameServer Ocean?ServerX=0?ServerY=0?AltSaveDirectoryName=UmbraPoopDeck?SessionName="The Umbra Poop Deck PVE"?MaxPlayers=25?Port=7852?QueryPort=37102?SeamlessIP=[External IP]?MultiHome=192.168.1.200?ShowFloatingDamageText=true?ServerAdminPassword=1234 -useallavailablecores -servergamelog -log -NoTransferFromFiltering -ForceAllHomeServer -NoBattlEye

I also tried putting the SeamlessIP and MultiHome IP to the same 192.168.1.200 IP for shits and giggles.

I don't know if I mentioned this before in this thread, but when I do actually attempt to connect to the server using:

    steam://connect/192.168.1.200:37102

It does prompt me for my server's password, so the connection is somewhat there... but after I enter in the password I immediately get the Network Failure Message, "Unable to query server info for invite".

Maybe its NOT my instructions, but your inability to EXECUTE them.

Fair enough, I deserved that.  I apologize.  I'm just exhausted from troubleshooting this and took that aggression unfairly out on you.

I have followed your directions though and I still don't ever get to see my server in the unofficial browser list.  I had this same issue with Ark and my Ark server would never appear in my browser list, meanwhile everyone outside my network could see the server and join it.  So I always had to use the steam connect link to connect to Ark from within the LAN.

Now with Atlas I figured it would be the same way.  I'm getting the exact same outcome that I did with Ark..  When I start my Atlas server, everyone else can see it except for me.  Only this time the steam connect doesn't work either.  So I'm at a loss.

Even though the "official guide" posted by Jat says, "The important bits being which grid location to use ?ServerX=1?ServerY=0 and your own external IP ?SeamlessIP=1.2.3.4 This is your public facing IP, not an internal network one.link .. I did try your method of placing the server's own internal IP instead, but It still doesn't help me.

This is what my commandline looks like:

ShooterGameServer Ocean?ServerX=0?ServerY=0?AltSaveDirectoryName=UmbraPoopDeck?SessionName="The Umbra Poop Deck PVE"?MaxPlayers=25?Port=7852?QueryPort=37102?SeamlessIP=192.168.1.200?ShowFloatingDamageText=true?ServerAdminPassword=1234 -useallavailablecores -servergamelog -log -NoTransferFromFiltering -ForceAllHomeServer -NoBattlEye

Like I was saying before... Anyone from outside my LAN can connect to the server and play on it, from all over the world.. But I can't connect to it from inside the LAN.

Yes it does, just change the loopback IP to your internal IP. Same result.

What do you think we have been doing? lol.   Since there is no LAN support in the Altas client (and no LAN tab) we do not see our servers in the server list.  Which is why we have to connect using steam connect.

The "LAN" option in ARK wasn't a real solution either, as I was unable to transfer myself at obelisks to my other LAN cluster nodes since the obelisk server transfer menu did not have a "LAN" option lol.  Fundamentally this is a limitation with the game itself, and how it searches for/locates servers.

I had that same issue in Ark, but I just switch on my VPN to transfer to a different cluster and then turned off the VPN when the transfer was complete.  With Atlas, I use my VPN and still can't access my own Atlas server.

Steam -> view-> servers. Has LAN section, I can easily find my Ark server there. But not my Atlas server setup the same way.

Yes but that doesn't really have anything to do with Atlas, it's your overall steam list of server IP's that you've created for any LAN game.  BigDally is talking about the drop down box in Atlas where you change your server type, eg. Official / Unofficial, etc.  In Ark there's Official / Unofficial / LAN / Favorites.  Atlas is missing the last two.

  11. Is anyone here actually able to connect to their own server on a LAN ?  If so, which IP and Port are you connecting through?

I have a very similar setup as the OP here.  A spare computer in my house is running the ATLAS server.  Everything is working fine, anyone can connect from all over the globe.  I just can't connect to it myself from inside the LAN.

Here's the weird part.  It's a password protected server, which like I said before, works for everyone else in the world.  But when I connect to the query port, it DOES ask me for the password, but then after clicking OK on the password I get that same network failure message.

I have tried to connect to the following (Only the first one asks me for the server password):

    steam://connect/192.168.1.200:37102 (Server IP: Query Port)
    steam://connect/192.168.1.200:7852 (Server IP: Game Port)
    steam://connect/192.168.1.200:27000 (Server IP: Seamless Port)
    steam://connect/74.14.156.199:37102 (WAN IP:Query Port)
    steam://connect/74.14.156.199:7852 (WAN IP: Game Port)
    steam://connect/74.14.156.199:27000 (WAN IP: Seamless Port)
    steam://connect/192.168.1.1:37102 (Router IP: Query Port)
    steam://connect/192.168.1.1:7852 (Router IP: Game Port)
    steam://connect/192.168.1.1:27000 (Router IP: Seamless Port)
