Did he tell his company mate that what he typed was wrong, did he tell his company mate what he put on the sail was wrong?  Did he stand up against his company mate?  Or did he stick his head in the sand and enable to problem to continue!  Not taking action is just as vile as those who write the hate in the first place!

You are a fucking moron. You are the kind of group think sheeple that identity politics was invented to control. You are what the communists called a 'useful idiot'. I'm seriously considering buying a second account solely to infiltrate your company.

That's an issue for the Devs to solve, that should have nothing to do with this.  The Devs of this game seem to be very lazy about dealing with such issues.

There are only two solutions possible... Don't allow any uploaded content. Moderate all uploads through an approval process. Which do you think these devs will choose? I prefer the status quo.

  3. The system sucks. It's currently impossible to capture a ship unless it's abandoned. Selling captured ships was the main source of income for pirates. The piracy tree end tier skill sucks too. One minute off the capture timer with a ninety second cool down. The whole system needs to be replaced.

    Alternate system one:

Each deck of a ship has a capture zone that must be held for X time. You can capture them in any order, but must hold all of them at once for Y time to claim the ship. The zones can be re-captured by the ship owners.

    Alternate system two:

All enemy NPC's and players must be off the ship. Claim flag like the current system, but much shorter timer (30 minutes or less). You must remain on the ship to capture. Enemies stop countdown, but do not revert it until all claimants are off the ship. Anchored ships have an additional separate claim requirement that ends in a minigame to break the anchor before the main claiming process can begin.

  4. Personally I'm glad that it's a slightly difficult process with low resolutions and limited colors. I have no desire to see penis and hentai sails everywhere. The character and company name dick jokes are already irritating enough.

On servers with lag, the cyclones moves "faster" and hit multiple times compared to a lagfree. Same applies for SOD. All while the player moves in a stop and go path.

The schooner that sank was in a laggy server with 90+ people on it. I still wonder if being near weigh limit adds to the damage. Hit some cyclones tonight in a schooner that was under half weight and only took about 500 damage from three partial cyclone hits. (Didn't go straight through the middle.) Again, it was on the high pop laggy server.

I haven't driven through one in a Sloop, but I have on  schooners and galleons and generally just ignore them. I'll sail right on through multiples at a time during the course of a storm without any issues.

When was the last time you sailed through one? We used to be blase about them as well until we lost the schooner a couple days ago. I think they ninja buffed them.

  7. Personally I usually do accommodation for one or two extra beds first (need fast respawn on PvP), then raise crew limit until I have enough slots for all AI plus my friends, then everything into weight.

I would use that schooner to get a full AI crew then scrap it for a brigantine. Brig is better in every way, especially weight per level up. It's easily sailable solo with AI.

Also, carry at least one full side worth of planks and gunports to replace after combat. They weigh less than materials and it is the only thing that can save your ship if you lose a few.

Went thro 2 cyclones or 3, they deal damage but it was not more than 200-400 dmg for entire time spent inside one so guessing ppl who got K.O.ed either did not fix and had some lone planks not taken care off or they experienced a bug.

What size ship? How much weight?

That would come down to ballast and keel setup.  You can also trim the sails to catch the wind but not cause as much heel as you would expect.  I am no expert, but the age of sail is a bit of a hobby for me.   You would be surprised the amount of canvas a ship can fly before it has to worry about capsizing due to the wind.

There are reports of the USS Constitution, a 4th rate 44 gun frigate, having a sustained heel of 14-16 degrees.

As for more realism in the sailing.. I would love that.  But most players wouldnt know how to handle their ships if they had to worry about the staysails, the jib, and all of the various trimming methods of the sails... not to mention the addition of sailing profiles of a square rigged ship vs a fore-aft rigged ship....

Oh I totally agree. All that canvas is distributed better as well. Not just square rigged on a single redwood planted in the middle of the ship... Lol
