I just got d/c'd recently whilst attempting to build my raft at the dock. Logged back in to not be able to use everything, I though easy fix, I'll just respec again like I've had to everytime this has happened and respend all my points, re-equip all my gear and try again. Well this time it wouldn't allow me to respec (even though the option was there). So I checked my skills and skill points that were available, apparently I'd learned nothing and only had 5 points to spend, whci I couldn't spend. It would make the sounds like i was learning the skills. It even asked me if i'd like to spend the X skill points on the required skills in order to get the skill. None of them unlocked or became available for me. So there I was, stuck on a lawless island, with a dockyard, storage chest filled with the materials needed to make a raft (which I had started crafting before getting d/c'd only to have the server roll back) and now I have no means of leaving. Good times.

I got disconnected while I had some xp waiting to be applied (enough to level me up) and when I logged back in that ticking xp was gone, hadn't been applied and I couldn't use any of the crafting recipes I learnt. I had no skill points available, was lvl 7 and had no skills learnt. This seems like the biggest issue with the game currently and iirc Ark had the exact problem on launch. I thought we were past this. With all these updates and clientside fixes, maybe a full server wipe is needed? Start from scratch, see if anything changes, because let's face it we're all going to have to start from scratch eventually anyway because of this bug. Might as well get it out of the way sooner rather than later. Just this lvl 7 lobotomised characters thoughts.

General shadows needs to be set to medium or better for the sky to appear (not be black). When you set it to medium the sky quality slider changes nothing so might as well set that as low as possible anyway. Hope this helps. TheRealPallyman
